No worries, However if you do find some gold in quartz, dont hit it! Its value is higher left alone and is known as a specimen.

Sounds like pyrite to me. Pan it and you will know if its gold or not.

I just found n bunch of gold! But I could pressed it to bits with pliers... Almost though I'll be rich 😢 Wil I find real gold between the fools gold? Wil I be wasting my time to keep breaking the rocks?

Hi Nick, watch my video on "DIY Hardrock mining"! Break down a couple of rocks and pan them out, to see if you got any gold in them, the pyrite will wash away with the rest of the dirt and leave the gold (if any) behind.

Enjoyed that pal. I would have probably hit my thumb with the hammer and ended up in Ysbyty Gwnedd. Have you been getting out ?

@@AurProspector It must have been from that source because I sluiced all day and found nothing . Will I be able to drive down the secret river too in July ? The camp site I normally go to is remaining closed for this year sadly !

@@MrDazP1adv3ntures From 6th of July free for all to travel, i think airb&bs, seconds homes, caravan owners are ok but not camping or tourers yet i think. Although i think half the uks panners will also be hitting the river too! I may go further afield for a while til it all calms down. I think they.ll be trouble the weekend before with people going before they are allowed to on the weekend of 4th n 5th. Still concrete barriers at all carparks presently.

I don't think that was a fare test. Lead 9 bashes. Gold 11 bashes. Pyrite only 4 bashes. I missed a video!!!! x
