I haven't used it yet, but it certainly seems like a game changer. From the machine learning side, there are so many models that can now be displayed in a browser.. (without help from an engineering team). Sending a notebook has been the worst cheap solution for too long

A lot of people seem to be quite negative about PyScript, saying that it can't or won't replace JS, but I think this is a somewhat irrelevant discussion. JS has its own uses, strengths and weaknesses, and PyScript seems to as well, maybe with some overlap, but ultimately, I think PyScript has the potential to be very useful for people with a Python background, rather than an HTML/CSS/JS background, and without time or inclination to learn these to the same degree they know Python.

It looks like it uses JS in the header include, so to think it would replace it seems odd. Plus the amount of JS out in the wild already means it's not going anywhere - likely just a good companion. The more tools we have available the easier our jobs become and the more we can achieve. Like using a drill for everything and then someone brings you a hammer, you don't just stop using the drill and start using the hammer for everything. You use the best tool available for the job at hand.

I think I'm a lot higher on PyScript than you are. I understand that it isn't a replacement for JavaScript at this time. What I don't understand is the attitude and presumption coming from much of the community that act like it will never be and can never be. I think that's a weird stance for developers to take in general, considering that engineering isn't about using something that can already be done, but it is about figuring out solutions to what hasn't already been done, and then setting out to build it. By my estimation, the only thing that will prevent PyScript from being a full/suitable replacement to JavaScript in time is that if development on it ceases. As long as it continues, the sky is the limit. And given that this baby was only born earlier THIS YEAR, I think that what you can already do with it is pretty amazing. Let's take a look at this thing again one, two, and three years from now. As long as the development community backs it, I think PyScript is completely unrecognizable (in a good way) in two years time from what it is today. Three years from now, I wouldn't entirely rule out someone coming up with a Django-less, Python alternative/answer to WordPress using PyScript. Perhaps I'm a bit overly ambitious and positive, but given the choice of betting on innovation, or betting against it, I'll always take the plus side.

@TechWithTim can you create a video explaining how Python complies, the above video had a question about threads and python only accessing one core. I love Python but I'm aware its not the fastest when compared to other high level languages at compile time. I know there are websites you can use to watch scripts compile and the whole thing could make for a very interesting video, but I don't know enough about it. Pyscript is cool but this wouldn't be used in the real project. I think many people like to write javascript in frontend instead of Python. Python is more suitable for backend and Javascript is more suitable for frontend. You can use django and reactjs or Flask with reactjs. However, This is still good. If anaconda can develop it bigger, we may have the frontend framework which will be written in Python.
