For those who don't know, Joe does NOT use a script when filming his show. He speaks off the cuff. When the producers tried to get Joe to use a script, he refused saying he's not an actor. He said he was a cop and could talk for himself. Great guy.

Joe Kenda is absolutely fascinating to listen to. Human behavior is fascinating. We humans are the most dangerous of creatures. Listening to Joe talk about people’s behavior, you learn why they do what to do. No wonder he has PTSD. God bless Joe Kenda!

There's a Kenda cruise? I'd love to do that with my parents. We're all huge fans of Joe Kenda, he's the reason I have a life, I was inspired by him to go to school for criminology and I never really knew what my purpose was until I saw Homicide Hunter. I met him in LA where I live and he's so humble and kind with the most intelligent and intense eyes I've ever seen. He looked like he was going to tear up when I told him he was my idol and my hero. I'm so glad he did this show because he admitted he was extremely depressed and had no outlet until someone realized how interesting it is to hear retired homicide investigators talk about their past cases, most of my professors were cops at one point or another. Thank you for sharing I subbed and sent this to my dad he's going to love it,. My, my, my.

He sure is and his wife is amazing too, A question i always had was answered in todays episode in which Cathy is interviewed, it was this, " Many cops will be divorced by there wifes and since those like a lieutenant will rarely eat a full meal with his wife, never mind a full night beside your wife in bed, did his wife leave him," And i was glad to see she didnt..We go threw classes in Church in my Country of Ireland to make sure you know your fiancee is the one, in order to show that marriage is Sacred and as its God that puts you together not even the Church nor court can EVER separate you, unless the obvious reasons Christ gave, and also if it's a violent marriage the Church will allow an annulment..

Show me the heroes and re-enact THEIR moments instead. Kenda's a hero. Let's focus on that! Love the guy. Thanks, Kenda! I dont' know why Kenda's producers think that cases involving little kids getting raped and murdered is too perverse for your average viewer. You have to consider the type of people who watch Investigation Discovery. Maybe they're just saving the darker stuff for when his ratings drop.

I’ve listened to him explain this many times. It’s not just the channel but he said himself that he doesn’t want to because he doesn’t want to relive those memories. Those cases affected him the most. Imagine what it would do to his already awful PTSD. Would you like for him to get worse?

It's a complete fallacy to state humans are the only animals that rape and kill for pleasure, other animals also kill for pleasure, especially primates. Premeditated murder has been scientifically documented in chimps and rape has been scientifically documented amongst dolphins. I saw a horrendous video of a young dolphin raping a seal to death so much as I respect Joe Kenda he doesn't know what he's talking about on this one.
@kesayo
7 жыл бұрын
bournemouthlass yeah I don't think we are special in deriving pleasure from doing things. Making certain things feel good is how evolution programs humans and animals to survive. What differentiates humans from animals is that most of us can override our desires to kill and rape with our empathy for others. I think Kenda has spent too much of his life seeing the horrible things people can do, so he naturally takes a dim view of humanity.
@marinadoshkevich4863
7 жыл бұрын
WRONG. Humans die because of other humans very often. No other species has as great a chance of dying by one of their own like us!!! He never said RAPE! Rape is completely normal for many species, in fact thats is exclusively how many reproduce. I am pretty certain that rape is normal for humans from the standpoint of how we evolved. .Big cats, small cats, Dolphins, Ducks, Pheasants…..all reproduce through rape! Getting consent is a purely human thing, actually. BUT NOT MURDER. Animals do not kill for no reason. A dolphin raping a seal to death is simply caught up in their mating frenzy. Cats, sloats, and weasels will sometimes kill more then they can eat because they frenzy, which is natural. Cats will kill to keep their hunting skills sharp. Chimps will execute a member of their tribe, much the same way humans do, but it is not murder. Its punishment. If humans do kill for pleasure, its rare. You simply don't understand Zoology.
@marinadoshkevich4863
7 жыл бұрын
Of course, animals often kill what from our point of view might seem cruel, like lions killing newborn cubs to get the female lions back into menses, but it is all to increase biological advantage. Just like rape increases your biological advantage. If you start getting permission, you will not impregnate as many females. Social animals like Chimps, Crows, Wolves will kill a member whose actions or appearance will endanger the rest. Thats why they kill albino members, because they are too easily spotted, and endanger everyone. They don't kill for pleasure. They don't kill for revenge. That simply doesn't happen.

He comes off like he just KNOWS everything ...like his crap does not stink like he is invincible ....yeah RIGHT! I mean I am sure he did some good, closed a lot of cases etc but when someone boasts like he does? The real deal does not need to be all cocky and boastful if you ask me.... I bet there are SOOO many cases he would never bring up because he was utterly stumped .... For instance a number of high profile serial killers ONLY got caught finally because of a fluke ...like a routine traffic stop and NOT an investigator sniffing them out....though ultimately some investigator or DA is gonna take all the credit for

@ladyguerlain3707

I think your reaction comes more from your own life experiences and less about him. You do realize that he is a straight shooter who tells it like it is…he’s confident, not cocky. And you do realize he only started “bragging” like you say because the tv show asked him to just tell about his real life cases, right? In my job, I have a very high success rate and it’s only when people ask me why I’m so successful, I tell them straight. He’s giving insight into his mind and methods and simply sharing his cases with us. I think that you need to look within and try to look past your bias and strong emotional reaction. Have you read the rest of the comments here? 99% of them are glowingly positive and yours is the only one who assigns this characteristic to him. What does that tell you? Where does this knee-jerk reaction come from? Who else in your life do you assign this characteristic to? How and when did you start feeling this way? I’m genuinely trying to help…
