@@Interlaken0806 I reviewed the video again several times. At 6:00 he grabbed the 2 plastic bags of Pao and Cakes from the cashier at the supermarket and walked away without saying “Thank you”.
True, but it's more common to say "thank you " among younger generations and people in big cities.

@@melanie-ki4bg Maybe he already said Thank you at the moment when the Baozi and cake were being packed. There are many other phrases in Chinese to show politeness than just "thank you". Some people will just say "好嘞“ that always implies a thank you. Cultures are different. There are rude people in every country.
