I have ordered a Q zone hoop. I am excited because I have a Q’nique 15 and a 10 foot table in my small apartment. Now I can have a little space! I love my Q’nique . It’s a powerhouse machine. Your company is great for service. Thank You

I have had my frame for a while and I do like it, because I have a very small sewing room. Once you get use to the routine it goes quickly enough. I do have a long arm attached though.

Thx soooo much, I bought a used dream frame for my unity and this was the best instructions. I have tried it once with not so great results and it was because of the loading..... I will let you know when I do my next quilts, I have 5 tops ready to quilt.

Thank you, Carla. I've been wondering for months how this frame works - didn't have time at Festival in Houston to actually watch the demo. Even though it's more labor intensive to load and move the quilt around, I can see where it would be great for those of us who can't stand up for extended periods of time to quilt.

First off I would like to thank Grace for continuing to explore options for more affortable quilting. By no means is this a complaint rather a curiosity . If Grace makes a special leader cloth for this frame why is it not included with the frame. It appears that a frame made by Grace for Brother nearly identical the leader cloths are included with purchase of frame. Currently the only place that has these leader cloths is thru the Grace Company and shipping is very pricey.

Karen19521 - you actually don’t have to use leader cloth with this frame. It’s helpful, yes, but clear instructions are provided with the frame to attach a quilt without the leaders.

I have had this frame for 1 year. I spend more time unclamping, moving the quilt (after you move your quilt, it takes forever to line everything horizontally and vertically again) and clamping my quilts with this frame than I do actually quilting! The ratio of time spent sewing compared to the setup to actually getting to sew is literally 3:1, because the actual quilting space side to side and front to back is small and setting up your quilt after a move is tedious. If you need to use your ruler base, the actual quilting area is tiny for the amount of time you spend moving things. The legs on the 15M stick out so far on either side that they hit the supports on either side, so I put C-clamps on my back rail to stop the machine before it gets to those support bars and thus I have lost precious inches of quilting space. The roll of your quilt that fits in the throat space of the machine flops forwards or backwards when it gets big enough no matter how tight you make the elastic on the back clamps. I have had to buy elastic from my local sewing center and replace them twice already. It is super easy to accidentally forget to tuck one of the elastics from the clamps and it becomes part of your quilt back unexpectedly. My purchase of this frame was a huge mistake. It has taken all of the fun out of quilting and so I am back to quilting on my domestic until I can figure out how to sell this frame and buy a different one.

I took that all into consideration when buying my Q-Zone, but bought it anyway, because the hoop frame is the maximum size I can squeeze into the small space I have, and the time saved in not having to baste (and no easy place to baste in my house) balances the clamping and unclamping for me a lot. I haven't used it yet, but I haven't quilted any of my huge stack of unbasted quilt tops, except for a few baby quilts that fit on my sewing machine, for the past 2 or 3 years. I appreciate this great video from Karla.

Why can’t we see a front & side view? Also if frame is advertised a lot for a home sewing machine, why isn’t one used? The machine she is using has more throat space. Also we never saw how the bottom of quilt was set up & it was just mentioned how it would look. Please redo your videos with better camera work. Can we see the end result of a quilting pattern & how the tension holds up to the quilting.

As I understand in the video, you only have to pin the top of the quilt? Pin basting is not necessary all the way through the quilt?

I really wish I had not bought this contraption. Most of the time is spent doing what she’s showing, very little quilting going on. Very LABOR INTENSIVE, with frustration. Spend the money for the real thing, there is no short cuts.

Some of us do not have the ROOM or the money to get the "real thing". This is the best I could do, and I am very happy with it! It has advanced my abilities to do much more.
