As a long term @Qantas platinum member I’ve never thought until recently the cost and difficulty it is to maintain a membership. To gain platinum status you need to fly roughly 3-4 domestic flights a quarter and add in a few international flights a year. That’s a lot of flying. What do you get do you ask?
- Access to some seats in a different part of the airport (the lounge).
- Complimentary food in the lounge, which generally is the quality of a buffet.
- A ‘private’ area access to showers, desks and meeting rooms. This is a great service for those travelling for work.
Not all Qantas Lounges are the same though and the business lounges vary in quality!
Right now my Australian @Qantas Business lounge domestic ranking is:
1. @MelbourneAirportMEL
2. @brisbaneairport
3. @sydneyairport
Then there is a considerable drop off with @goldcoastairportofficial and the likes of @TownsvilleAirport not having business/ platinum lounges.
Right now I’m weighing up the value in continuing with Qantas especially given the last few years from them. Ultimately if you’re wondering what you’re missing with business lounge access DOMESTICALLY you’re not missing much.
Негізгі бет Qantas Business Platinum Lounge Sydney. Where does it rank against other Domestic lounges?
