The UK, like many other countries, haven’t been investing in their infrastructure. It always takes a crisis for budgets to be reallocated. Covid caused relocation to NHS and PPE and vaccines. Now the energy crisis will reallocate funds back over to energy and energy infrastructure needs. Many EU countries were underspending on military security. Now the Ukraine war has caused budget reallocations back towards updating and increasing military security spending. It always takes a crisis.

Putin made a very bad move but he being a mad man knows that live is either a walk in the park or violence like on the streets of former Indian States now facing financial crisis after crisis, and energy transformation is not an overnight love affair. This energy crisis facing EU is one orchestrated by all these EU states and Russia however Putin recognized that the EU will undoubtedly lead and chart a program of non dependence on Russian oil and gas products and he knew that Russia wi undoubtedly fall financially. However Putin recognized that he needs to change the trajectory to make and blam the west for Russian economic collapse, so he had to find a scape goat and Ukraine fit that cut. Wind blows not every time and sun shines on some times and covered skys on other days. Resolving this situation facing the world was also caused by Joe Biden and he Biden had the power to contain Russia but he coming of this disastrous scenario in Afghanistan. Biden was not carefully analyzing geopolitical structures and on folding events like crisis after crisis in Africa, economic collapse of Venezuela, other political hot spots in the southern Russian regions and Turkey playing bad cards cause Trump f---k him up and Biden down played him as loose cannon so he the president of Turkey began to emerge as a rogue political enterprise and he the president of Turkey had an Ace played when Finland and Sweden announce their ascension to NATO so he playing bad cards at a time of international geopolitical super structure crisis and the collapse of civil order

Intelligent analysis of facts not obvious to everyone. Some of these problems could be more deliberate and the Ukrainian war may be just a scapegoat to cover the deliberate actions behind the scenes.

Check out Russel Brand's overview on why the Russian invasion of Ukraine happened. Very underhand politics at play by the West.

So,sad the UK has to run round the globe begging g for energy. This has only happened because government after government in the UK has failed to reign in big profit companies and not capped their profits. Profit capping forces companies to invest in infrastructure as well as increasing pay and strengthening pension pots. We would have so much solar and wind energy if only the govern, ent had started this 20 years ago and stuck with it.
