This is a rare DVD demo of the prototype QFO that was given to me at NAMM. I had to put this up cause Q is just too funny in this one. Q, you better favorite this one...lol. Peace.

Actually there are two volume faders and only one crossfader. I guess when they first made it out they wanted all of the faders to be able to switch to crossfaders but that never made it on there. The two faders can control either their assigned channel (PGM 1, PGM 2) or each one can be made to control the actual phono input. I hope that clears it up. This video is actually what convinced me to get my QFO! Hope you guys like it...

@3RR0000000000R There are two volume faders, one for the turntable (assignable to either side) and one for one of the two line inputs one the rear. As far as the pitch is concerned, it is a single knob that goes around the platter in a circular motion and covers 180 degrees. Hope that answers your question.

Don't know where that beat is from. I think it's an unreleased Qbert beat... Hope it comes out.

that's a good question... I got the video at the NAMM show at the Vestax booth. I would think it would have Japanese subtitles if anything... Still it's one of my favorites and I can't beleive nobody else has loaded it up before. Peace to all fellow QFO owners and all the skratch heads out there!

That was actually the prototype that I got to play with at NAMM. I have the production model and yes it is better. The only thing i wish they had kept was the crazy knob for the pitch control.

How does that tonearm stay in its place?! :D

Vestax had the ASTS (Anti Skating Tonearm System). It used a spring with adjustable tension that would hold / press the tonearm into position. This allowed it to be relatively skip proof and able to play at extreme angles. Vestax even made a turntable you could tilt intentionally. Hope that answers your question.

I’ve modified my vestax pdx2000 to track like this aswell with a simple rubber band and a couple of cocktail sticks.. and tested on weighing scales only 3grams of weight.. brilliant tonearms for scratching 👍😃

What's up Jackson. I don't think the original QFO will work for Serato without modding it. They did come out with a DX version that did DVS control I believe. There's one guy that modded his QFO if you search for QFO and Serato.

I believe they are discontinued. I've seen some on Ebay and even contemplated selling my own but I can't bear to part with it. I'm just waiting for the Tribologix fader to come out and I'll be good.

I sold mine too... I had two speeding tickets in one month. Lame. I will say though, scratching on it is not the most comfortable because of the closeness of the hands.

djcyberia dam that sucks man, I sold mines for $1200 and now you're lucky to cop one for 2K. You're right it had a totally different scratch feel that seemed to give me different moves and technique. Kinda want to get into the portablist game one day.
