Love this. I have osteopososis in my hips and osteopenia in my spine. I am very active but smoked for years (who knew it was bad for bones!?) and was on traditional meds for 6 months and went off beacse of side effects. I discovered qigong about a year ago and love it. I am determined to target bone growth and love this video. Thank you. Excellent instruction too!

I’m not an expert but suffer from the same syndrome…from what I’ve learned, sometimes bending over like that can irritate the nerves, depending on one’s particular condition(s). If it makes your back feel worse, don’t do it!

These are all fairly simple, but very effective. Just wanted to mention, the longer one does these (ie months/years),the more depth the practices may reveal.....often the most beginning practices are also the most advanced.....best wishes. Thanks for posting these!

the first exercise is the dantien energy packer. they do it mainly at the end, after static pile-pillar exercises. To concentrate all the energy in the dantien. So that the remnants of energy do not remain in the head or in other parts of the body.

I have been practicing Qigong for many years having learned from a Chinese master from Beijing in Chinese, This master is also a TCM doctor. We learned 八段锦 五禽戏 etc and many forms of 太极拳。 阴阳 Is and important concept of TCM each opposing and complementary aspect is present in both males and females, so Qigong is alternatively aimed at one and the other in both males and females.

It's very clear and well presented so big thumbs up for that .... I was puzzled by the description of the last position , palms on Dan Tian , I've been practicing Chi Kung for a very long time and it's the first time I've heard women left hand first on Dan Tian covered by the right . By my understanding that is for men , women should do exactly the reverse , i.e. right palm first .... or am I wrong about this ? Would be strange since I've heard and read this more times than i can count

hi Dr LIm, I just discovered you here on youtube, I really enjoyed this video and I also so much appreciate the way your teach and explain everything in simple ways... I thought I'd write you to get some guidance or feedback. I've had chronic hiccups for over 30 years. I've seen different practioners and doctors and ancient medicine practices to help me but so far nothing has helped. I still get the hiccups for several hours a day...Dr. Lim are there any qi gong exercises or breathing exercises that can help remedy my condition... It's a very aggravating and frustrating thing to keep occuring and for so many years.... thank you for your time and consideration..... I will continue to follow your teachings here, namaste, peace, Mark PInkus

I actually felt a lot of a pain in my thighs when I was tapping on my body.
@tcmhealingcenter181
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Elizabeth, sometimes this can indicate that there is a lot of existing tension or blockage in those parts of the body where you feel pain during tapping. If this happens, I would recommend tapping more gently in the beginning so it does not cause so much discomfort. Eventually, when there is less tension, you may find that it becomes less painful when you tap.

I get dizzy when I bend down doing the kidney exercises. Any modified version?
@florenceerman1171
2 жыл бұрын
Hi Felicia, if you feel dizzy while bending down, I would recommend that you only go bend down halfway according to your comfort zone. It's not necessary to touch your toes to get the benefit of the exercise. You can also bend your knees if that makes it easier. Let me know if that helps.
