QSee was in business for 18 years and because of Covid-19 they closed the company the beginning of this year, leaving a lot of customers with complete security systems without remote access and the option to buy a new NVR or DVR to change companies to get remote access to their cameras for residential and commercial usages.
As I mentioned on this video is very simple to recover the remote access to your security system just follow my instructions.
Go to the settings of your NVR or DVR, when inside the settings go to NETWORK.
1).- Select TCP/IP and get the IP address under the MAC address, that is the IP address of your NVR or DVR.
2).- Scroll down to PORTS and take a screenshot of that page.
3).- Scroll down to BLOCK/ALLOW and uncheck ENABLE make sure TRUSTED SITES is selected, on the left side under the square above default press ADD to start adding the devices IP for remote access (viewing) just remember to get two IP addresses for your Smart phone one with WiFi on and one with WiFi off ( just remember if your device IP address changes you have to go back and put the new IP address to keep having remote access) most of the Smart phones is very easy to get the IP address from the settings and going to about phone and scrolling down to IP address.
4).- open IPCHICKEN and get your home IP address. ( just Google IPCHICKEN)
5).- Next go to NOIP.COM here is the link to create and account to get a HOSTNAME.
www.noip.com?fpr=vmoyg
6).- Go to your router and open the ports that you got from your NVR or DVR using PORT FORWARDING with the IP address of the NVR or DVR.
7).- Go to your SMART PHONE open the QSEE application and create two accounts, for the account using local WIFI you will need the NVR or DVR IP address, for the remote access you will need the HOSTNAME that you created in the NOIP website, for both accounts you will need your NVR or DVR user name and password.
after that you will have remote account and the local account.
On the last part of the video with the Smart phone I was trying to use the HOSTNAME that was a mistake, the HOSTNAME is for remote access.
NVR or DVR IP address for local usage with WIFI.
Don't forget to add your SMART PHONE IP address to your NVR settings NETWORK (BLOCK/ALLOW)
