FYI regarding ranking of best health care systems in the world, I noticed there have been many world DIFFERENT rankings over the years. Some sources put Singapore as no.1 in the world, another source from America will put Taiwan as no.1 😂So I can’t say for sure if Taiwan is really better than Singapore system cos Singapore been consistently been in the TOP rankings. Singapore have been having world top surgeons here, I doubt Taiwan salary can attract any top tier doctors to work in their country!!😅🤭 I guess consistently is the key word too🥰.

My Taiwanese friends are generally very pleased with their medical system but all wondering when the system will become bankrupt financially one day. 'Cheap and Good' most of the time is difficult to achieve.

@@Grandkiddy Yes. My Taiwanese friends also think it is unsustainable. Their healthcare is heavily subsidised by government and will continue to increase as the population ages. This is not counting shenanigans like KMT attempting to use their majority in congress to pass laws allowing relatives of 陆配 even more access to healthcare. For the moment, Singapore is still better in my view. The reason it is hard to compare different healthcare systems is because there are so many variables and factors. Is affordability more important than efficacy? If money were no object, most people would probably choose Johns Hopkins over NUH ya
Depends on what criteria they base this ranking on. It’s probably not because of how world class their doctors or surgeons are but rather that for the price u pay they can provide a good standard of healthcare. I’ve only heard of rich or prominent Singaporeans seeking cancer treatment at Mayo or Johns Hopkins but never National Taiwan University…
