@@jackiemueller205 Why? Don't we all pay enough in taxes? Have you ever calculated how much of your money is taken that way? And want to give them more?
@jackiemueller205
Жыл бұрын
@@byronlemay2166 yes! Cause it don't come here. Just like the people who think they support Quartzsite, you don't. Do you ever come here in summer? You should see the trashed campers left on in the desert. The garbage bags left at cross roads because snowflakes think someone comes and cleans up after them. You know who does that? We do! The people who live here and love our desert. Yes pay for the privilege of camping in the desert. Canadians and all non-residents should pay more, as federal lands are ...for the use of the American citizens...
@byronlemay2166
Жыл бұрын
@@jackiemueller205 My point is that more money given to them won't make it any cleaner...the trash left dumped and the wind blowing it around simply happen no matter where lots of people are. You have to decide if your town being a "tourist attraction" during the winter months or simply a dead truck stop off the interstate is more desirable. In that event the town would hardly exist and there would still be plenty of trash around...perhaps even worse. Pull over anywhere on the way to Phoenix and see all the garbage for yourself. If the BLM says "We don't pick up the trash because we don't have the money"...that's nonsense. And yes, I do support the town...by camping there and spending my money along Main Street for food and supplies. And I don't leave any trash, either. You want to punish everyone for the random, stupid acts of a few. You must be liberal, right? Try to realize that giving the government more money is not the answer...in most cases, at least.

Today is 1/16/2023 I was watching your quartzite update video and you directed new people to come to this video, so here I am. What a nice video! I just started camping, last year. I'm a retired, single, female, with a Tab 400 teardrop. I've heard about Quartzite from watching "BoB" while being locked down during Covid.( I think everyone knows BoB, Right?) and I'm just interested in it. This video is great! I live in Michigan and would love to have a place to go in the winter, where it is warm. I'm subscribed and hit the bell notifications. So, I'm in! No questions, yet, just want to say thank you for helping me!

My 2 cents worth from boondocking throughout the dessert west, do not drive your vehicle anywhere near the resemblance of a fire pit at one time. More importantly PLEASE do not bring out pallets to burn in a fire pit. It might be great free firewood but the nails left behind can destroy a campout for anyone unknowingly running over what may have at one time been a fire pit. 1 pallet is loaded with nails that sit in the dessert long after the fire pit is gone. Thanks for the video...

When you get to Quartzsite if it's too hot shoot up to Prescott via the Wickenburg route..... What a view up the backway to Prescott thru very tall pines the further north you go..... A Federal Forest Campground called White Spar Campground just about four miles south of the city w/paved roads, bathrooms, water stations....almost certain they have dump too (No Electric)...... then go hangout at the public Square in town. City Hall is in the center of it surrounded with all kinds of cool stores and super big old trees with tons of shade Looks like New Orleans style bars on the west side of the Square and great Pizza on the East Side.....Great place to spend the day and about 30+ degrees cooler than Quartzsite We live in the New River area

Last January we camped across the road from a group of big rigs. Very cool. Every evening at 5:45 they blew their horns in celebrating another day. Wonder if you guys were there.

Hi Jim and Kellie! Before I forget MERRY CHRISTMAS! Jim, I love your cap emblem! Where’d you get it if you don’t mind my asking? I have KZitem channel friends who live in Oklahoma and they’ve said the last week or so has been brutal with all of the snow! Brrrr! Glad I don’t have to deal with that anymore in an 18 wheeler...I paid MY dues for 38 years! Stay safe and God Bless! 👍😎❤️✝️🙏☝️

Thanks so much Jim....Merry Christmas to you as well! Hope all is cheery in your neck of the woods. The hat came from Amazon: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01KF2R0EQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. Yes, we had some snow, but it wasn't too bad. We're not used to the cold though....time to move onto the desert! We're really looking forward to the day we can get together and have lunch....without masks! Thanks for coming along Jim....we really do appreciate you.

Would be nice to be able to dig a pit for a generator if it's portable. Cover the pit.. Gravel and a pallet in under it. Then it's quiet.

Ah I feel bad for you Jim and Kelly! I was so hoping to see your new rig soon. But everything happens for a reason. It’s in Gods plans. It will happen for you to get the rig it will come. But boy this covid really takes a toll on you though. Sad you won’t be there with Tina and Aaron. But it will all work out. I will pray for you both as I always try to do. You both stay well and I hope you can put out another video before Christmas next week. If not hope you have a Merry Christmas. See you soon. Love you both.

Thanks so much Sherri. Yes we're disappointed, but we're trying to have a positive attitude with it all. We've met some really nice people here in Oklahoma but miss our friends too. We'll make it to Quartzsite eventually....just not sure when. Have a Merry Christmas and go out and spread some cheer! Hope to get together soon....without masks!

Thanks for the info, had heard Quartzsite could be a little "clicky", and not what it's cracked up to be. You paint a different picture. Might have to put it on my list once I hit the road next year. Guess it was just another persons bad experience.
@SuiteTravels

It's just like "real life" and we're sure there could be "clicky" groups....but you don't have to hang out with them 😉. We hang out with mutual or new found friends and have a wonderful time. It's sort of like a RV park...if you go for a walk and say hello to folks they will usually respond kindly and walah - you've met some nice people! There are sure to be all kinds in a million campers. Hopefully you'll get a chance to experience it and enjoy it as we do. Thanks for coming along and have a Merry Christmas!

Don't bother, the RV show is a joke and lots of people don't want you there. Unless your in a 100,000 unit.
