Japan has been in love with Queen since they went there on their first trip (God, they were so young!) and gave them the red carpet treatment...if you watch the video of that trip, they arrive at the airport and are shocked to find press and fans waiting to greet them when they get off the plane. They are treated like royalty, and said in an interview that they'd never had this kind of reception anywhere, and how honored they felt. They absolutely loved going to Japan and went several times.

This was a song that Brian and Freddie did by themselves, and I'm glad that now Brian does it instead of playing for someone else to sing it. And he does it justice beautifully. Japan always had a love affair with Queen...from the first time they went, when they were literally four kids. They always welcomed them with open arms and gave them the red carpet treatment...the Japanese press LOVED them, which is better than you can say for the press in their own country. It breaks my heart to see them all bawling at the end when Freddie's image shows up on the stage.
