The queen was my first Anthurium and is still happy. I repotted it in aroid mix together with a second a half year ago. I feel it likes it to be more wet but not sitting in water. I fertilize with every watering. My ones stand at room temperature at about 22°C and 55 to 70% humidity💚

Here in the Philippines considering the warm temperature and high humidity, my queen grows and unfurls quite quick. The environment here also allows for full fertilization 4 times a week. I feel that contributes to quick growth as well.

I bought mine as a small seedling from nse and it is one of my fastest growing anthuriums! 11 months and she holds 6 12"plus leaves. I do have it on a pole to stabilize because it is so top heavy. Maybe I just got lucky but I find it so easy going. (I do live in florida and it lives in a large exoterra, so 85%humidity)

I´m very happy to finally see this review. The care doesn´t sound as bad as I thought it was 😀 Warocq is definitely my wishlist plant, but I´d prefer to buy it as a seedling (I have the best growing experience with seedlings, and don´t mind waiting at all) Enjoy your holiday, Memo 🌞

Thank you for the great review. I have been looking forward to this one. I got my queen 18 months ago as a seedling. Three leaves about a finger length each. I put it on a small moss pole and it now has three enormous leaves and still has the babies. Humidity ranges between 30-70, (I don't supplement it) average UK room temp, no room heating in winter (it's a little room with a small window) grow lights on 8 hours a day 2 small fans on 12 hours a day semi hydro weekly watering no matter how dry with a drip or two of liquid gold leaf fertiliser and a monthly flush. I really think it's worth buying small with this one.

P.S it cost £85 18 months ago. I reckon you could find a seedling for around £50 now

you don't have to put moss on your pole. I have mine on a pole with tff/perlie/sand/coco chips and all the roots are on the pole. and is super easy to water, well draining, and aerated.

Love this review. I’ve killed a few myself and I have a couple around the house, all in different sizes. They are not thriving, but doing okay. I do have a gorgeous hybrid (MagxCrystal x Warocqueanum), super Hardy plant that’s growing beautifully.

What was once in the £000's/£0,000's are now cheaper. Lockdown, I wanted all the exotic tropical plants. Recently went to my regular plant shop, and got given a gloriosum for free! Growing it in normal home condition. Hoping it survives the UK winter. Safe and wonderful holiday to you. 💛💛

What a steal with that gloriosum! 🌱 Enjoy your plant journey and if your gloriosum is anything like mine, as soon as it establishes itself in your home, it should grow like a weed. Mine has survived 3 UK winters so far 😅💚🌿. Thank you enjoying the relaxation currently 😎

Mine stopped growing in summer after growing pretty fast in winter. it is not big but hangs on to its leaves and i dont spend much more time on it than getting it fed and watered. It's in semihydro. Still love it and hope to get leaves like yours one day

Im waiting for my queen to arrive this month from Ecuagenera bought from the live sells collabs to one of their counter part in the Philippines. I had queen before, however it doesnt thrive well but it grows slowly its becuase there is not one really hands one on my collections, however this time im hoping that my sister will look over my collections more seriously 😂😂😂 as im expecting around 40 anthoriums this month and i told her about the prices of each, so i guesss it will help her understand how serious i am with my collections😂😂😂

Well considering how they come from the cloud forests, it would make sense... noticed that a lot of my velvet leaf anthurium grow faster during the cooler months and that my philodendron take over during the summer.... only thing I can say for sure is that my anthurium absolutely despised being hot and having low humidity.... low humidity and cooler temps is ok, high temps and high humidity is also fine, but high temps and low humidity made them struggle the most
