I got the entire Queen collection for Christmas 2020 and it's all I listen to. Queen are a total miracle. I wouldn't even be able to calculate the likelihood of these four amazing legends to come together at exactly the right moment in their lives to become this awesome band. I wish Freddie knew how much he is loved even now.

Sugarcat This song is a perfect bookend with "Bohemian Rhapsody". "BoRap" is about a man coming to grips with his personal(sexual) identity. "Innuendo" is the same man, knowing he's near the end of the line, reflecting and ruminating on the state of the world he's soon to leave behind.

Despite the pain wracking his body, Freddie was going out like a lion, not a lamb. He obviously had one more epic left in him, and he and the boys delivered big time here. This is my personal favorite Queen song, and that's saying something (IMHO, even their missteps have points of charm and fascination). The video itself is a masterpiece, with the claymation and artistic renderings of the band being a stroke of creative genius. The cherry on top was having Steve Howe from Yes (another band I revere and love) on board for the flamenco break in the middle. It's an old progressive rocker's wet dream! By the way, James, to hell with what others say, you just keep on checking out the Queen catalog. We're enjoying the journey with you.

Roger Taylor (drummer) said that musically 'Innuendo' is for Queen the same thing as 'Kashmir' for Led Zeppelin. Interesting fact is that the opening drum rhythm is heavily inspired by Maurice Ravel's 'Bolero'. According to Peter Freestone (Freddie's personal assistent) Queen made this kind of video because Freddie was very ill at that stage and had big trouble performing. However, after they released this video Freddie said he wouldn't let to be remembered as a cartoon character so he decided to shoot another & the last video and perform in it personally - 'These Are The Days Of Our Lives'. You already reacted to it ;) Happy New Year to you and all the viewers and to all people around the world ! God bless!

At this point in Freddies life he decided to not show himself to the public anymore. He changed that decision afterwards for the "Im going slightly mad" video and for his final performance in front of a camera the "These are the days of our lives video". Innuendo is also the last time where you can hear Queen playing life to some degree, the song was mainly recorded life, meaning the whole band played together at the same time instead of everybody is recording his bits and afterwards they mixed them togehter. There is video of Dave Richards, their producer at that time, where is talking about that.

Speaking of Im going slightly mad, thats another good one to react too if he's not done so already, but anyway, what I love about Queen is that we see so much meaning in a lot of the lyrics of many of the songs that are quite powerful when you read up on them.

This song is one of, if not my favorite Queen song. The lyrics are so powerful. Even the name of the song "Innuendo", is powerful. Mankind can't live with each other without fighting or wars because of Race, Color, Culture or Religion. Stop listening to what others say you should do. Remove your mask and be free with yourself and we can be in a better world. Welcome back, JB. Keep spreading the love.

happy new year. it's pronounced 'in-you-end-oh'. i'm hoping that you'll react to a few more classical songs this year. nothing quite calms the soul like a beautiful female voice. i've already suggested to you 3 voices, Katherine Jenkins, Anna Netrebko, and Elina Garanca. mezzo sopranos are my favourite; warm, soothing, calming and healing.

You CAN be anything you want to be. Just turn yourself into anything you think that you could ever be. What a way to start the New Year! And you are right, JB - almost every song, on every album, way back to Queen I in 1972, is telling a story. A message of love, or of hope, of living to the fullest, or simply dealing with life in general. We really are so lucky to be able to revisit all of this, over and over, time and time again.

Great to have you back! Innuendo is one of my favorite Queen songs. I believe Chaos 6010 shared the reasoning behind this video and told you what his last video was. For New Year's Eve, my mother and I watched Queen Live at Wembley. I then showed her the video to "These Are the Days of Our Lives" and she became emotional at the physical difference of Freddie. Not only was he extremely talented, but he was also very brave.

“Innuendo” (in-you-en-dow). It is a great song. Their songs say so much. All the critics did was say bad things about them because Queen wrote songs for the people. Songs people could relate to, songs people could dance to and songs that were fun. If you listen to Scandal that tells you everything. Have a wonderful year 2019! Yes, you guessed well, Freddie doesn't appear in this video because he was sick, but as you know such a petty thing was not about to stop him ;) Roger and Brian (and I'm guessing Deaky as well) always say their first thought when they face a difficult situation is "what would Freddie do?", and they solve it. I have a friend who pronounces that word as if it were "In da window." It's really pronounced IN-U-IN-DOE. The only time Freddie mentions the word in the song is in this line: 5:21 It basically means saying something without coming out and really saying it. Hinting at something. Guitar great Steve Howe of the group Yes plays the Spanish guitar part. The only time someone not in Queen played guitar on a Queen studio album. He just dropped by the studio and they immediately wanted him to improvise the Spanish guitar part. Halfway though he thought he had bitten off more than he could chew. But he kept at it and they loved it in the end.

When Freddie became noticeably ill he grew the beard to hide the lesions on his face and began having videos done in black & white but that was a year or so out from Freddie's death.
