I adore Freddie’s voice and charisma. He seemed so comfortable being who he was. Legend who found three other incredible musicians to create the most eclectic rock band ever.

such a great song. Freddie wrote this for Mary Austin. I saw Queen and Adam Lambert in 2014, and Brian sang this song. He was sitting on a chair, with an empty chair beside him. he said he knew Freddie was with them. On the final verse Freddie appeared from Wembley (1986) and sang the last verse. so emotional and even Brian had tears in his eyes.

I'd say perfection is his performance of this song at Wembley in '86. Or in Rio in '85 (where Queen performed two concerts, "in front of 350,000-500,000 people for each night." Or do both.

Even one of the '81 South America tour as the audience participation knocked Queen for six! Edit: Knock for Six is a cricket term meaning effectively knocked them out of the park.

What I love about Rio is that they didn’t know if they knew English and when they sang this song the audience sang it for them. They were blown away.

This song...it’s simple but very special. Later concerts (like Rio, Budapest, and Wembley) Freddie “traded vocals” with the audience, with the crowd singing large parts of the song themselves. Freddie loved the fans, and they amplified the love and sent it all back in a crashing wave ! Nowadays, Brian plays the guitar and sings with the audience in the first part, then after the guitar solo, Freddie footage from the Wembley concert plays through the second verse--and there is not a dry eye in the house.

I am blessed to be Queen's fan since the biginning in 1970. I rememeber the Bohemian Raphsody first time in 1975 and I went to two different Queen concerts here in Brazil in 1981 and 1985. They were just magic and wonderful. LUV Queen 4EVER

Perfect example how much they respected one another's talent, when it was time for Brian to shine, Freddie walked into the dark so all eyes would be on ONLY Brian, and then when it was time to sing again, Freddie reappeared.

Btw Freddie did not like being called the leader. He said he was the singer, Dr. Brian May was the guitarist and also has a phd in astrophysics, John Deacon was the bass player and wrote many hit songs and created his own amp as he was an electrical engineer, and Roger Taylor was the drummer with the incredible back up voice that created perfect harmonies with Freddie. He studied dentistry. They all met as students. Btw Brian is playing a Spanish acoustic guitar here. Impressive. Freddie’s voice spellbound us all.

Sublime! This song was and still is a sing along staple at their shows. However, the audience in Montreal knew the concert was being taped and were well behaved and barely sang at all. The opposite of what the band wanted. In comparison, live in Japan 1985 kzitem.info/news/bejne/tmqX15evgoCmpIo is among many many concerts where the audience participation is truly magical! For years and these days, guitarist Brian May sings this solo in honor of Freddie, encourages the crowd to join in. He'd say "don't be shy" and also encourage everyone to get out their iphone lights reminiscent of back in the day when people held lighters. Near the end, a video of Freddie from the Wembley concert appears on a screen and sings the last part. Brian would often be seen wiping away a few tears in honor of his friend and brother in arms and also he's probably so touched that people still go nuts for Queen.

He sings amazing here of course but this song live should have an audience loudly singing along. You can barely hear them here. The audience makes the song so much better. In the commentaries for the Montreal DVD Roger and Brian says Freddie was not used to sing the whole song by himself 😂 React to the Wembley version of this song too. Or Rio.

There is a Queen commentary on this whole concert. It's Brian and Roger, it's quite funny really. They comment on each song as it's being played. They said on this Freddie barely sang the whole song as the audience did. This wasn't one of those occasions lol

My favorite live performance of this song because freddie was forced to sing all of it because in other concerts the crowd sang most of it! Check out Argentina or Brazil. The crowd sang the whole song! So my truly favorite live of this song is at Wembley 1986. The crowd sang it all, but Freddie "joined in" for a truly epic performance for the ages!! When Queen plays live now, they show Freddie from this epic performance on their video screens to unanimous applause! Heartbreaking, but also breathtaking for us Freddie fans! kzitem.info/news/bejne/mJCf26iur1-Afqw
