Queen Mary and King Frederick have been forced to cancel part of their upcoming royal tour. The two-day visit to the Faroe Islands was originally scheduled for next week but has been postponed due to a strike. Their Majesties had initially planned to visit the Pharaoh Islands at the start of their Commonwealth tour. However, five major labor unions have been on strike since May 14th. On Wednesday, the Danish royal family announced the change of itinerary, emphasizing their hope to reschedule the visit later this year. Although a specific date has not yet been set, the statement indicates that the royal couple fully understands the decision made by the Pharaoh Islands’ government. Prime Minister Axel Johanneson has offered to facilitate the rescheduling.
