I love these shows .. if I could time travel I would go back to the Victorian and regancy eras in history. Some of my favorite eras in history.. the ladies dresses and the manor homes are just so beautiful and luxurious and still simplistic in a way that our generations are missing. Families looked after each other , long walks in beautiful gardens .communication via letters reading books instead of watching a tv set all day and last but not least learning how to play a musical instrument or learning how to sing so that you could impress your friends and families with your skills and talents.. also planting your crops and gardens in the spring and taking care of your crops and animal's all summer to reap your bounty in autumn while preparing your household for winter when you would have a winter break and bond even more with your family as you rode out the winters cold .. now days we are lucky to get a weeks vacation and hardly know time to bond with family or enjoy nature and the world around us .

99% of what you described only occurred in the lives of the upper class. You are heavily over-romanticizing what life was actually like for people then. 😂 Not that they actually tended their own gardens! Or didn’t have family drama like we do today. You are describing a fantasy.

Its called wishful thinking.. no need to go all out in vicious Karen attack mode because my comment triggered your inner Karen aggression mode .. good god you people like to create drama over every subject nor can you skip the comments that trigger you .. you just enjoy being miserable and you want to burst everyone else's happy bubble so you can feel some type of supremacy in KZitem comment sections.. lol

I agree with Holly’s comment, you are describing life for the rich upper class. The working class didn’t have gardens or learn to play instruments. Only the select few had it that good. I’ve always found it interesting how the upper class would have a servant help ‘dress’ them in formal wear only to then walk around in their lavish homes and gardens lol. Most of us now just thrown on a pair of jeans and a T-shirt and call it a day.

I do not understand Britain's concept of "pudding".
@m.theresa1385
2 жыл бұрын
‘Pudding’ or ‘pud’ can be the equivalent of ‘dessert’, as a course, even if it’s not a pudding. So, one might say “what’s today’s pudding” even if it’s a pie , tart or other dessert. Often it just might be a pudding, as in sticky toffee pudding or chocolate pudding (a sort of chocolate cobbler like dessert). There are quite a few different puddings (warm cake like concoctions). Most of these would be served with ‘custard’, which is a dessert sauce often made at home from a packaged powder (Birds custard.)
