This is one of the most under rated albums that queensryche ever put out. Isaw this tour here in Nashville TN at Starwood amplitheater, It was an awesome tour and performance, you just had to see it all from the beging to the end, it was a great come back from trying to compete with EMPIRE. I thought i would never see anything about the promise land ever again i cant belive someone has got this origanal footage of this , this is very rare to see this.

Fangalatic Mistake? We didn't (still don't) like Type O's music, or image. I remember being told 100's of times by people: "Hey if you don't like AC/DC, you HAVE to see them LIVE! Then you will love them!" -- Well that's pretty much like saying: "Hey, if you are not attracted to men AT ALL, and you are NO WAY a homosexual, you just have to try it, then you will LOVE it." I have been to A LOT of concerts in my life. Van Halen's 1984 (Roth) was my first. I was 12. If I don't like the music and/or band's image, I'm not going to enjoy them live. UNLESS, they play someone else's music (that I like) the entire show. hahaha That would be cool to see! Type O Negative playing Primus, Talking Heads, and Sting songs!

Awesome concert!!!. I saw them in Phoenix with this tour...3rd row center. There were cameras filming everywhere. They had a high platform panning the stage and several guys with proffesional equipment filming down below. I've been waiting for years for a DVD or blu-ray to be released, but so far...nothing. Does anybody know what could have happened to all that lost footage?
@OpheliaDarkling
2 жыл бұрын
That record company went under the next tour and ditched them and everyone financially. I imagine they didnt want to foot the bill for production of DVDs since the money had run dry. Only a theory. I was eager to see something released as well because they kept hinting and teasing at it. Such a colossal waste to have shelved/trashed all that footage and production. Those of us who got to see the show were indeed lucky. I saw them in Sacramento. Still remains one of the greatest shows I've seen. A shame they fell apart after this but how do ya top all that, really? They should have disbanded while on top here instead of the death spiral once Chris left. He made the right choice though. Without the funding and backing of a big label plus the abuse and dysfunction going on in the band, there was no point in this band continuing.

Wow can you imagine the shock and horror that an old school metal Queensryche fan experienced seeing THIS on the stage. Don't get me wrong this is one of my favorite albums from them. More so these days than Mindcrime 1 or Empire. I am I is my favorite track. They were a little more creative than their old fans wanted with Promised Land and Hear In the Now Frontier. Some good tracks off of both IMHO. Q2K not so much. Tribe album was the last of their best too me.
@jbsouthpaw2009
14 жыл бұрын
@SenoraBianca Agree with your comments 100 %. The best tracks on Tribe were "Falling Behind" and "Open". Open being the heaviest on the album. Coincidentally the last "official" collaboration of Founding guitarist/hit songwriter Chris Degarmo. Mindcrime 2 was truly a horror for me. Sad but true. They were great on tour on 2008 when I saw them in Atlanta. Michael Wilton didn't seem to "raise his game" guitar wise after Degarmo left. Degarmo was very underrated as a guitarist and songwriter.

@jbsouthpaw2009 i wouldn't call it a total horror but yea OMC 2 has a bunch of filler. their big mistake was not getting DeGarmo involved in writing for OMC2, if you r going to do a sequel at least get the original people together to write and float ideas Even if DeGarmo is not interested in touring, he should've been brought in as a consultant at least
@OpheliaDarkling

The amount of abuse and dysfunction in the band was not worth it. Dude was at peace out of the spotlight and pressure. Granted, Geoff had a heavy part in creating the storyline but without Chris' intellect and songwriting chops and ability to organize and translate things better--it was a fool's errand to create a sequel to something that was perfectly fine as it was. Still horrified they made a sequel to a perfect record. I refuse to hear it.
