***** I would seriously question where these polls were done and on whom because I don't know anybody who thinks scrapping trident completely would be a good thing, trident was the reason why The Cold War didn't go further in the first place. And now the green idiots and the SNP want to leave this country defenceless as well as cutting the defence budget and army, absolutely ridiculous in these times of tension with Putin and ISIS

Maybe this is what they want, so younger generations don't kick them out of power an make them reform ~ They should work together for our great country not kick it further down! None of them have the qualifications to run there respective positions...in mainstream "normal world" we can not jump into a job without having knowledge or skills in such position so why do they bend the rules to suit them...? Alternately there ALL run by a higher realm anyway's, giving them so little power for the true MP's to change anything. Id love a Lib~Labour coalition this time round we must ALL vote!

These People, like the Pols in my Country are like the two little dogs barking at each other through the fence. They know there is a huge hole in the fence caused by the storm of 2008 and they dare not go near it and look at each other face to face. The guy on the end got the closest, but they all know that very dark hole in the fence has not been repaired, is not going to be repaired, and will most assuredly get bigger but they dare not tell the truth. It's not what they did say, it's what they didn't say.

There is not the faintest possibility that BMW will stop selling cars to UK customers if we leave the EU. Unless one thing. If the UK government has been sponsoring BMW to sell them here cheaply. I don't think that is true, so trade with the EU will not be slightly affected by us leaving. Besides the UK is a group of islands close to Europe, a land mass, but has never been united with it until I, as a now 65 year old, was deliberately, fraudulently and maliciously lied to in 1973, and I naively voted to join a Common Market, not a political and financial union. Finding that attacking the UK with weapons something they failed on twice the Germans are now using this tactic. I like their cars but don't want to be dominated by them. Get out now.

I come from a working class background, currrently earning a middle class income and personnelly think that the Greens and Labour demonising the rich is a terrible thing to do. The rich do pay more in taxes than the working poor. Countries need the wealthy to start and invest in companies that hire people and create products and services for the people. tax dogers do exist, but you do find them in every class and group of people. Are the Tax dogers any worse than those who don't pay tax and yet claim benefits.
@VanaeCavae

***** "venture capital can derive from many sources other than wealthy individuals" name one other source. If you mention Soverign wealth Funds, that is basically government funds raised from taxation from people's income or people pension plans or tax revenue from natural resources wealth. It is proven that the rich do pay more taxes than the working poor. look at 24:30. They do pay more than their fair share. The majority of tax revenue is from well to do people and companies. You do need rich people to start companies and invest in new ideas. "Does the UK need a wealthy class, ensconced within legal privilege, or simply wealthy people within a context of healthy economic convection? " Well the UK does have that old money elite. But so does many countries including USA (Boston Brahmins). What do you suggest then. It is their money handed to them by previous generations of their family. Taxing them excessively is almost like committing robbery. It like a robbing an old woman of her grandmother's necklace. It is outright thievery. It also smells of jealousy to me. Like it or not the Rich are a minority that needs to be protected just like any other minority. Demonizing minorities is often the first step to treating horribly. That is what you are doing. I agree The wealthy's money protects them to a certain degree if faced with problems but only up to a certain degree.

VanaeCavae In principle they're similar but since those that dodge at the top cost us more I would say its more important in that respect. Also they have less reason to dodge tax in that their seems to be no moral justification either, when they're so rich why do they insist on dodging tax to become more rich?
@VanaeCavae

Juan Mahmod I do agree that Tax Dogers need to pay their taxes and that includes tax dogers from every class and group. One thing i disagree is taxing people on income earned overseas. If a guy owns shares in a overseas company, do you think he needs to be taxed ? Do you know that is taxing someone twice. If a British national owns shares in a sporting goods franchise in Singapore, he will end up paying taxes twice, once in Singapore and another in the UK. Does that make sense. His income comes from overseas. He gets taxed overseas, why tax him again, at home for his overseas income. He could bring in his overseas income to the U.K and start a business or buy/build a house instead. That leads to economic growth.
@juanmahmod8132

I agree with you there. I do think its unfair to tax someone as you say who is earning a part of their income from another country and therefore having to be taxed twice. The problem, though, I think we have is that because wealth is so concentrated with a minority that we always have to have these debates about taxing the rich. If money was, from the outset, more distributed amongst the populace we wouldn't need to have these debates about how much the 'rich' should pay because everyone would be relatively well off and even those in the middle or at the bottom would get along after they've paid their taxes, just a thought.
@VanaeCavae

Juan Mahmod I do support a progessive tax. The rich do get richer because you need money to make more money and the wealthy can generate wealth more easliy. Taxing them at a little higher rate is a good idea. But the rich are also globally mobile due to their wealth. If we set the taxes too high, they can uproot and move to another country with a less punishing tax regime. Those left behind might find new ways of doging taxes. So we have to be careful when dealing with the rich. They are the goose that lays the golden egg, We need them to stay.
