If you miss this bestselling dessert you can BAKE IT YOURSELF with this easy recipe. To enjoy the creamy, delicate yet firm egg custard in buttery and flaky crust you will need the following ingredients.
FOR THE CRUST
170 GRAMS or 1.20 CUPS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
70 GRAMS or .30 CUP CHILLED BUTTER
33 GRAMS or 2 1/2 TBPS. WHITE SUGAR (GRANULATED)
1 PC EGG
16 GRAMS or 1 TBPS. COLD WATER
FOR THE FILLING
200 GRAMS or 1.50 CUP POWDERED MILK
134 GRAMS or 1/2 CUP WHITE SUGAR (GRANULATED)
3 PCS. EGGS
1/8 TSP. SALT
250 GRAMS or .80 CUP WATER
50 GRAMS or 3 TBSP. FRESH MILK OR EVAPORATED MILK
12 GRAMS or 1 1/2 TBSP. CORN STARCH
BAKING TEMPERATURE: 160 DEGREES CENTIGRADE
FOR THE CRUST: Initial baking time is 15 minutes then remove the rice and bake for another 5 to 7 minutes.
FOR THE EGG PIE: 30 to 33 minutes.
