This week we are talking about coffee, specifically how to upgrade your iced coffees this summer! I love my coffee and now that we are into the warmer months I am all about the iced drinks. In this video, I will show some quick and simple ways to upgrade your drinks this summer without any fancy equipment. Whether it be a simple switch like upgrading your ice cubes or taking coffee to the next level with popsicles, there is something for everyone in this video. And I guess even if you’re team tea, there is something in here for you too!

🧊 Coffee Cubes
🥣 Ingredients
Coffee, chilled
Ice cube tray
🗺 Directions
Take the coffee of your choice (drip, espresso, cold brew, etc.) chill and freeze in an ice cube tray.
☕️ Cold Brew Coffee
🥣 Ingredients
3 oz. ground coffee
3 cups water
🗺 Directions
In a large jug combine the ingredients and let sit in the fridge for 24 hours. Use a coffee filter to strain the coffee and let sit in the fridge until ready to serve. Cold brew is on the stronger side and is often diluted with water when ready to serve
🤍 Simple Syrup
🥣 Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
🗺 Directions
Take equal parts sugar and water and bring to a simmer. Once the sugar has dissolved, remove it from heat and let it cool before adding to your drinks. Store in the fridge in an airtight container.
Add vanilla, cocoa powder, or lavender sprigs to flavour your simple syrup.
🤎 Brown Sugar Syrup
🥣 Ingredients
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup water
🗺 Directions
Take equal parts brown sugar and water and bring to a simmer. Once the sugar dissolves, remove it from heat and let it cool before adding to your drinks. Store in the fridge in an airtight container.
🤝 Brown Sugar Shaken Oat Milk Espresso
🥣 Ingredients
3 tbsp. espresso, chilled
1 ½ tbsp. brown sugar syrup, chilled
Dairy of choice
Ice
Water bottle
🗺 Directions
In a water bottle filled with ice, add the espresso and brown sugar syrup. Make sure the lid is closed and shake until there is a thick foam layer at the top. Fill a clean glass with some ice. You can use regular ice or make brown sugar espresso ice cubes ahead of time. Pour the mixture into the glass and top with the dairy of your choice.

Coffe of your choice, chilled
Syrup of your choice
Dairy of your choice

Have fun with this one and freeze your favourite drink. I made:
Brown Sugar Shaken Oat Milk Espresso - espresso, brown sugar syrup, dairy of choice, shake, pour into popsicle moulds
Vanilla Latte - espresso, vanilla simple syrup, dairy of choice
Creamy Cold Brew - cold brew, cream, simple syrup

🌟 Review and Tips
Swap the sugar in the simple syrup for monk fruit. That way you can get all the sweetness without the worry. Monk fruit will dissolve but once it sits at room temperature or in the fridge, it will crystalize.
A water bottle or any sort of travel mug with a lid is a great substitute for a martini shaker.
For layered popsicles, freeze in between each layer for the most consistency and clean finishes on your layers.
