Thank you for watching our video on how to remove your Lexus CT200H front bumper cover. We are converting this front end into the F-series bumper. Why? Because it looks so much cooler than the regular bumper. Who doesn't want that cool sporty look with the giant grille? But, before we do all the fun stuff, we have to remove the bumper cover. One thing about Toyota's and Lexus's; they engineer the bumpers with a beautiful simplicity. These vehicles are always easy to work on and do not require maximum effort.
Like most of our other installs, we like to work our way from the bottom up. This car is pretty low to the ground but you don't need to raise it up. We did it so we could get a better view of our camera. Anything for the best shot! There are 6 bolts on the bottom of the bumper that need to be removed, very simple and straightforward. We like to work from the bottom to the top so the bumper doesn't fall on us while we're under the car. The bumper is very light but you don't want dirt and dust all over your face. Next, we move not to the fender liners and separate that from the bumper. You do not have to remove it, just detach it from the bumper. There is a bolt and a clip that hold the bumper to the fender. Once these are removed, you are halfway through the removal process. Remove the plastic bolts on the radiator cover to expose a few of the top bolts on the bumper. Use your flat head screwdriver or a panel clip removal tool to pry the clips up. After this step, you can now dismount the bumper from the brackets.
We love working on these cars because it's so easy. Stay tuned for our next video showing what you need to convert your Lexus CT200H into an F-Sport front bumper.
