I bought this, along with the HK set.....will I be able to marry the clear, HK starboard part of the HK kit, to the Border, Port side.....we shall see...... Had thought of three Border noses with Andy Cairns’s 1/32 Lancaster Crew “walking out” from underneath them.....that way I’d be able to model “S for Sugar”, the “Phantom of the Ruhr” and “Micky the Moocher”....discovering the actual differences in equipment lay outs, paint finishes, etc is very interesting, as it’s a real minefield.....🤪 I also invested in the Master 1/32 Browning Barrels......😜 totally fantastic stuff! Currently starting the Airfix 1/72 Dambuster Lanc. Just marrying up the Eduard PE set to it.....

I just got this kit, gonna do custom decals, RCAF "Nan" nose art. Building it for a friend of that name, and am planning to have a removable cap behind the cockpit so one can see the detail, especially adding a "cheat" Quinta set and figures. 😊

Looks like a great alternative to a 1/32 Lancaster. Perhaps they could have a clear plastic fuselage side panel to see the interior better.

Hmm...looks like a nice kit alright, but to me it may not be worth the price with the clear canopy part flaw in it like you showed us. But then again maybe it'll look OK once it's all built up, and painted etc. Would like to see someone build this kit and then we can pass judgement on it properly?

I hope to build it, but can't say when. The canopy flaw does spoil it a bit

I have thr HK nose art kit, no where near as detailed, but I recently bought the QuintaStudio set for it and it is stunning, need to get some hydraulic and wiring diagrams to add a bit more detail.

The stand looks pretty cheesey. Otherwise there is something in this nose that makes you want it... The panting is one of the highlights in my eyes. I believe this is only the beginning... Others will also catch this idea. It would be cool to see it built! 🙂

Having gotten the Reskit F-111A cockpit set... It's sublime. definitely worth the money, whether just to fondle, or to also build!

Really nice looking kit, Is this kit the former wingnut CP kit?

It was developed by the Wingnut team, yes

What a challenge that kit looks, way beyond my skill set. I can’t wait to see you build it. 😎

"Almost A4 size clear frame ". Maybe they should have broken it down into smaller units then... I'm sure the uneven flow problems go up exponentially with the complexity of the frame. On a smaller frame you might even get away with filling the cavity from just one sprue gate, which eliminates the weld line problem.

Pretty sure the brickwork design of the stand is meant to be reminiscent of the cladding of the dam this aircraft was sent against.

Hmm I’m not sure about this one.I have built the HK Lancaster nose it’s got less internal detail but you can’t see much inside anyway. This has better external detail but worse clear parts. The HK one is cheaper but needs an instrument panel .. so two options but no clear obvious choice . Who am I kidding I’ll end up building one eventually but make a cradle in the HK models style rathe than that ugly chunk of plastic
@JenesisDesignsandModelcraft

I agree with the cradle, I think that's the way I will go with it too

@@JenesisDesignsandModelcraft if it’s like the full kit, the correct route was to contact the retailer who gave out a email address for someone at the wholesaler, Albion Alloys. Albion had a supply of extra dears and sent them directly to the end users, us the modellers. Albion Alloys were prompt and efficient.
