my kids started playing hockey it is so far beyond me I know boxing, and thought perhaps it might have a similarity in foot work of throwing a punch and pivoting the hips in some manner... nope...... ima just let the coach coach and just play the parent role make sure they have the opportunity and keep them accountable/ motivated

@@kYA00h helpful…I’ve played roller hockey and ice hockey so I’ve had wooden sticks, the two part shaft + replaceable blade sticks, aluminium shaft with replaceable blade, composite/carbon fibre two piece sticks, carbon fibre one piece and two piece sticks. I’ve always been used to equivalent of 100flex sticks and as a D man I like the option of a hard slap shot from the point. I was merely enquiring if there was some general guidance since sticks are so expensive I can afford to trial them all. I also think I should be a left handed stick but depends who you talk to about it: it felt weird trying to use left hand sticks

@@Infiniti25100 flex is way too stiff for most amateur players. Unless you’re like 6’+ and over 215 lbs I wouldn’t recommend such a stiff stick. I am 6’2 and 180 and I use a 77 flex.
