For this drawing I used vintage watercolor paints from Wallace Seymour. In my opinion, they are made from the sand and soil of England, that is, literally.
These paints give an interesting effect on paper - rough, lively, each as if made from its own earth rock. Delicate dusty pink - Torridon River gravel from the highlands, rusty wheat - Arran red sandstone from the highlands, dark green - Dughet Green, delicate light green - Earth Green. They create a successful, unique palette, with a touch of history and English comfort.
The drawing itself is simple. Brush movements are free and spontaneous.
I made the drawing as part of my video series, where I learn floral illustration in watercolors. Do you want to come with me?
