Yes you're so right about the thickness of hair, you have to be born with thick full head of hair. I was born with thick hair and I'm in my 50's and still have that thickness of hair
@lizthebroken

Other ways to make it look thick are stretching your relaxer to let your natural texture show a little, air drying, twist outs and braid outs.

Thank you girl for the first point! I am so tired of people acting like relaxed girls can't have thick hair or long hair just bc they can't achieve it. Work with what you have and treat your hair well.

I find that the more moisture I put on my hair the healthier it is, if you're mixed with any African American your hair is probably going to be a bit more dryer coarser in texture,which calls for more moisture to be put in.I believe genetics are not the only factor in thickness of hair, how a person cares for their hair and works with it can go miles towards thicker and healthier hair too. I think there is hope for anyone hair genetics or not, depending on how much work their willing to put into it.Thanks for the tips.

I am so glad you pointed out no.1 which is genetics. People for some reason forget that genetics play a big role, my family's hair is naturally thin and I hate when my "friend" insults me on how thin my hair is and how it looks.. I can't do anything about it and no I don't want to go back natural. btw your hair is gorg

I absolutely LOVE when my natural oils work through my hair! That's why I feel my hair looks best about two weeks post relaxer. I have thick hair, but after a relaxer it is incredibly straight and I give it a week to 'bulk up'. During this time I only moisturize two to three times.

You should do a dry shampoo review/tutorial/demo. I'm always worried about them leaving a white residue. Yes, bounce in your hair is pretty awesome😀. Thanks for your honesty regarding dense hair, there is no way to grow more hair follicles. Short broken strands make the hair look thinner.

maybe you should try learning what your hair likes,going on a hair journey and using certain oils in your hair, deep condition like once a week and try protien treatments but not too much. do some protective styling to thicken your hair or just to give it a break

How do you know your natural oils are going down your hair? I have to moisturize and seal every night because my hair gets dry under my wigs. Plus, aren't you supposed to be trying to prevent breakage?
@ESSNTL
7 жыл бұрын
Nora Brown my hair starts to look oily/greasy (that's the natural oils) & usually happens 4-5 days after wash day. I don't moisturize & seal because I honestly don't feel the need too. I believe this is b/c my wash day routine provides enough moisture for my hair to last the week. Everyone's hair is different though, that just works for my hair.

Guys you can get fuller or thicker hair with organics biotin shampoo and conditioner, it thickens your hair over time, whether it’s naturally full or not, don’t listen to anyone who says you cant, get trims anytime u relax, get rid of thin ends and split ends, over time you will have healthy and thicker hair.

I really want to perm my hair, but I have never had a perm in my life. However, it's approaching a year since I combed out my locs of 5yrs and I would like to try something new. My issue is since I combed out my locs, it kept its 4c texture, but can be super dry at times. What do you recommend to do?
