As for leaves in cracks and rooftops, I put a number of dry fall leaves in my (our) blender and it cut the leaves into small bits. I then painted the receiving purpose with diluted white glue and brushed the leaf bits in and around roof obstructions and built up against the roof ledges with the wet brush. Looks great.

Good suggestions for leaves. I use 50/50 white glue/water and 2 drops of washing liquid, mix then paint the roof or where the leaves are to go, then sprinkle the bits on and blow a bit so the bits gather along the roof edges downwind and let them set.

Great update Jason. I am glad you are adding trees! Your videos have given me the confidence to scratch build all my structures. I use chip board, paint it, scribe it, then cut out the windows. The best thing is I get what I exactly need for my layout and I don’t have to spend any money on those over-priced laser kits. Keep putting out great videos Jason. I am devouring all the great advice that you have gained over the years!

There is a problem with google that I am not sure you are aware of. It remembers what you have searched for then filters and sorts the results it displays. So what you and I see for the same search will be different !!! You, on the other hand, are a trusted resource who will give good guidance. You are absolutely correct that the more an individual uses google in their research, the better results they will get from it.

FYI Eagles Landing is on the CCK website with pricing so you can advance order. Shipping shows to be at the end of June.I do have a question that isn't product related but I would like to know is the approximate dimensions of you harbor scene. I constantly keep changing my building placement all the time especially since I keep buying new buildings. I really need to quit buying and build some more. Great work and I am looking forward to your new videos.

I would add another one Jason, “invest in a product” with so many manufacturers retiring, aging out, or for whatever reason going out of business...it’s a good idea to invest in a product that will fill your need for present or future projects. For instance, I know I should have bought more laser cut kits from VectorCut...his details were awesome and I always needed one or more of the laserboard kits for a build project. Or Monster Model Works, Jimmy’s laser cut sheets and detail worked out so well that when I heard he was getting out of business, it was to late for one of his materials to start a special build I had in mind. So that’s my two cents worth and I totally agree with those key statements you’ve mentioned here!

I am so glad that I was introduced to our channel. I have watched, paused, and tried your techniques and found them very satisfying. Your tips and artwork help has encouraged me to try new things. In watching this video I noted that the areas at and around the docks is a wafer or chip board. Was this a cost saver or did you see a sub surface distortion for your water? That is to say if the water will be translucent.

Hi Jason. I really enjoy watching your modelling. It’s very inspiring how you use what are individually simple techniques but then layer them to get amazing effects. I think it’s just as much of an art form in how you place the structures with each other to create a believable world. I’m wondering how long it will be before you weather the “Jason Jensen Trains” sign on your wall 😄

Hey Jason, great info on searching the web, and it's nice to see where you're going with the elevated portions of your layout. I'm wondering if you've given any thought to some of the elevated track running on steel girders or even stone/concrete viaducts back where you have the timber trestles? I've always liked that small girder bridge you built where the track crosses the corner of your harbor, and all of your steelwork is so impressive. Anyway, it's good to see the updates to the layout, and I imagine a build video of Eagle's Landing will be awesome, and probably quite long. LOL

Hey Jason I hate to bother you I watched one of your videos can't remember where I store it, it was how you keep the turf down it was some kind of a mixture that you put in a little bottle with a long tip if I remember correctly? I am trying to do a doll house layout and I'm doing the outdoor part and I bought the grassy stuff and I laid tacky glue and then put the turf on top of that and it seemed like a glued for a while. However right now with the dampness (I suppose) it seems to be coming up. I'm thinking that you might have had videos on how to apply this. I just can't find them anymore or maybe I'm trying too hard. Thanks a bunch
