My work rented this to transport catering material (we own a 2019 Nissan NV200, which is actually SMALLER than a modern day minivan with seats in it) but if there's 5 caterings going out at once, they need more vehicles. (Note: I'm updating this description in September 2023, and things have changed since then) we used to rent Pacificas as our go-to since they can haul a lot and drive nicely, we then proceeded to get in a fight with Hertz (provided all of these vehicles) and they raised their prices, so we started using Enterprise. In terms of the vehicles we've rented, we've had a few Express vans (both Chevy and GMC, a few cargo versions and this passenger version), another Nissan NV200, a Dodge Promaster City (I made a video of it when we had it), as well as a larger Dodge Promaster high roof cargo van, and a compatible Ford Transit 250 high roof van, and both of which are actually easier to drive than you'd think. We also had a Ford Explorer, I think a 2021, for a really short time, because we didn't like it and the load height was too high. Either way, this was one of the first non-Pacifica vehicles we rented, and no one wanted to drive it because of the size. In the time since this was made, I've driven a few different Express vans (at work and on other occasions) and I actually don't mind them. I still like the Ford Transit line (and the old Ford Econoline vans) better, but it's hard to argue with a brand new full size body-on-frame, V8 powered van, even if GM is making it. I also commend them for still using an ANCIENT platform because it reminds me of driving an older car. They actually don't drive horribly, the ride is a bit bumpy and it's very slow, but other than that they aren't horrible. Visibility could be better, especially on the cargo versions with no windows or rear view mirror, the side mirrors are not very good, but that's really one of my only complaints. My only other one would be that the driver's seat doesn't slide back super far, so even being 5'8" I find that I have to scrunch up my legs to fit. That's more of a minor thing though.
Original description: The restaurant I work at does caterings, and for that we have a 2019 Nissan NV2500 van, about the size of a modern day minivan, maybe a little smaller. It works fine, but when you have 4-6 caterings on a Saturday during September, it's hard. We rent various big vehicles because of this. We've had numerous Pacificas, probably 4 or 5 at this point. We LOVE those, and I have to admit, they are very nice. We had a 2021 Ford Explorer at one point, which was fine but hard to load stuff into. We also had this behemoth, the "school bus" as we called it. Since this was filmed, I went on a catering in this. Let's just say, the ride is...less than adequate. To give it some credit, at least this van was made in America. (Missouri, to be specific.)
In other news, reportedly this has a 31 gallon fuel tank...ouch.
