The fact that he's not even 20yrs here makes it more impressive I read a magazine article about this kid years ago. He didn't want to be another teenage pop star & decided to go his own route. With his natural skill he'll be around for a long time

Quinn does this song better than anyone I've ever heard . He's just one of most talented guys I know and he replied to a comment I posted a while back and I told him I wished he could come to the Rupp Arena in Lexington Kentucky sometime and he said he would try his best and if he does I'm getting backstage tickets 👍

quinn sullivan was the first kid guitarist i ever heard by chance when i joined youtube two or three years ago now. i just couldn't believe that an eight year old could play as well as he did on his live performance of the "thrill is gone" 7:15. at the time i must have played it 100+ times. i loved his use of wah relaxed style and the seemingly faultless nature of his guitar playing his smart appearance and self-assuredness. contrary to some commenters i thought that he sang beautifully. it is still my best in class performance by an eight year old ever. for me only toby lee's early guitar work at the same age approaches it in accomplishment. but toby wasn't playing live on tv and quinn was with all the associated nerves that can generate. although he didn't look that bothered about it at all. again by chance a bit later i happened to see the young james bell and loved what i heard equally as much. but he was thirteen. i decided to listen to the thrill is gone again today and it sounds just as good as it did three years ago. i saw this live little wing by quinn and i'm very pleased and impressed with what i'm hearing him play nowadays-ish. soaring smooth guitar work and his voice is as fabulous as when he was eight imo. he's always seemed to me to be a nice person and i'll be looking to hear more of his current work from now on. it's a bit like ancient musical history at two years ago but my thanks for posting this to anybody who's still listening out there in youtubeland.

I've never desired anything as much as I have - To play the guitar. The time I've spent on anything guitar related is FAAAAAR mor than the time I spend actually trying to play. I've enjoyed watching Quinn grow up. I have absolute respect and appretiation for Buddy Guy and his desire to share Quinn with the world. This video is incredible to me. I love Little Wing! I'm always eager to hear anyone attempt to do it right. SRV was the person that set the bar for me personally. It helped me have an even better appretiation for Hendrix. This is the first time I've heard Quinn Sing. If he ever read this, I want to say; "Great Job Man! Keep doing what you do! Best wishes for your future!"

@@alithealien I think you misunderstood me. There is no doubt he can play. The rendition was very good. I was simply reiterating Chris Squire's comment. It is one thing to be able to play, composing is at a different level. There are many excellent musicians making names for themselves as covers artists but where is the creativity, especially around prog, psych, and harder rock? These are dying genre

It will b interesting to see how he develops. He's coming at it from the bottom up, gaining technique and finding creative expression a bar at a time. Bars become phrases, phrases become passages, passages become movements. But is there an overarching search for meaning? It's hard to know at this point. I'm inevitably reminded of David Gilmour and Roger Waters. Pink Floyd continued after Waters left, and maintained very much the same expressive structure as always. Nothing was lost there. Gilmour meanwhile developed his songwriting, and through it offered various moderately interesting comments on the human condition. But his ideas were not brilliant or haunted or angry in the way that to Waters came naturally. I don't fault David Gilmour for this. The two of them had complementary talents. But it is a reminder that no one is a genius in all things.
