That is why a holy scripture MUST be revealed and read with its original language. Translation is merely to comprehend the context for non native speakers. What is translated by what so called ‘Kings’ vs ‘Pharaoh’ in the Quran, the original language is ‘Malik’, written as ملك in Arabic, translates directly to “the king” in English. This name carries an aspect of power, authority, and leadership in good terms, While Pharaoh relates to ancient Egyptian line of Kings who used power or authority to oppress and were being tyrant.

@@roncalvin2506: I think you misunderstood the context of my comment. If we refer to the Quran, which was revealed in Arabic, that was not meant for Arab/Arabic speaking only people. You could check the data percentage of moslem speaking arabic. Instead majority of moslem does NOT speak Arabic. So, a question maybe raised that how could non arabic speaking moslem understand the quran? Hence, they off course could learn the language (which is actually not that hard) or at least check the translation (‘taddaburi’- contemplation of its meanings, purposes, and rulings, not just recitation, despite its great reward)……BUT it only to comprehend the context. Bear in mind that the translation is NOT the Quran itself. So, reading Quran translation is not the same as reading the Quran. There are terms/dictions in Arabic that may not provide best understanding if translated to other language. Actual example of ‘Malik’ in Arabic translated as ‘King’ in English is not entirely accurate, since King is a general term of ruler whether he is just or tyrant, while Malik specifically carries an aspect of good leadership, and Pharaoh/Firaun is a line of tyranny . Semitic language (including Arabic) is an ancient group of language that has way more diction for a single term other than any modern languages. They are undoubtedly the ‘richest’ language ever spoken or existed. You could also check to the Jewish, as I understand that their scripture was revealed in Hebrew, and they read it in its original language. They could check the available translation though. Holy Scripture was revealed in its original language to avoid corruption of meaning and abuse of translation. The translation could change overtime as languages evolve, but the original language stays.

@@andrikristianto2577 ok. i respect it but like techincally the bible was written in its original language and you can still find the original language bible so how can it get corrupted through translation if you read the one that isn't translated. im also curious, muslims say the bible is corrupted and that is has been changed but can't you say the same thing about the quran? i mean who knows who could have went in an changed a couple of words here and there. it doesn't matter if its the bible or the quran both are susceptible to change in the beginnning of its life span. Also, I just don't see how the bible would get corrupted like muslims say it is because its a collection of a bunch of new books, if someone wanted to change the entire new testament lets say, they'd have to steal from multiple disciples and apostles and steal the writing and change it and what not. Because once the apostles finish, they are going to make copies and then it would be much harder to corrupt if theres a bunch of copies. Meanwhile, the quran is 1 entire book given by allah to muhammed that only muhammed possesed until he shared it right? is it not more possible for the quran to be corrupted rather than the bible? personally, i simply dont think the bible is corrupted and that the reason why muslims say that is because if the bible were true, islam would be false
@andrikristianto2577
3 ай бұрын
@@roncalvin2506 : I would respectfully not comment about bible being ‘corrupted’ and I respect what you believe. II would simply comment about how Quran was revealed. You may have heard that Allah through Angel Gabriel has spoken to Prophet Muhammad SAW, and the Prophet did not receive what you called ‘a book’, instead word by word, piece by piece in 23 years. After the Prophet would receive revelations, he would later recite it to his Companions, who also memorized it or wrote it down. Before the Quran was commonly available in written form, speaking it from memory prevailed as the mode of teaching it to others. The practice of memorizing the whole Quran is still practised among Muslims. Millions of people have memorized the entire Quran in Arabic. And this would challenge the theory that Quran could be changed overtime, since if one letter changed, then millions of moslem would know and claim. This fact, taken in the context of 7th-century Arabia, was not an extraordinary feat. People of that time had a penchant for recited poetry and had developed their skills in memorization to a remarkable degree. Events and competitions that featured the recitation of elaborate poetry were of great interest. Once again, you could believe anything you want, and I respect that. But one thing for sure that the Quran will never change until end of time, because Allah preserve it. [Quran 15:9] Absolutely, We have revealed the reminder, and, absolutely, we will preserve it. [Quran 56:77-80] This is an honorable Quran. In a protected book. None can grasp it except the sincere. A revelation from the Lord of the universe. [Quran 85:21-22] Indeed, it is a glorious Quran. In a preserved master tablet. You could check any scripture that ‘guarantee’ preservation, if ever existed, other than the Quran.

The problem with this is that at the time of Joseph, there were Kings. Even Emperors as well as Pharaohs. The Pharaohs are just one of the many kings that ruled at the time of Joseph. Actually, I'd even argue that a Pharaoh is a King due to the fact Pharaoh literally means "Ruler of Egypt". So again, you cannot call it a Historical Error when all that's been added is More Information, not Disproving said information. Furthermore, the Rosetta Stone is dated to be around 159BC which talks about Ptolemy V, a King of Egypt who later assumed the title of Pharaoh since it holds a very religious meaning. Meanwhile the title Pharaoh have been dated to have come about around 1500-1300BC. However, the Kingship system had begun since 3,000BC, showing that it actually was not far off to say that "At the time of Joseph, there were Pharaohs." When we look at WHEN the Old Testament was written which was 1200-165BC.

It's actually evidence that the Quran was not divine. How so? It's because the author evidently thought "Fir'awn" (i.e. Pharaoh) was his personal name in the same way as Musa, Harun, etc. That's why he doesn't refer to the king in the story of Joseph as Pharaoh. The evidence for this is that nowhere does the Quran use the definite article (al-) in front of the word, which it would have had it understood it to be a title rather than a name. Add to that other mixups in the story, such as putting Haman from the story of Esther hundreds of years later in it, and anachronistically having a Samaritan in the Exodus story before the latter group existed.

The books of the Bible went through a very human process of composition, transmission, and preservation. Part of that process apparently included the updating of place names and, in this case, political titles to terms that were known to later generations. This is not an error at all. For example, a history book could say: "In the 1300's, a certain Indian tribe occupied an area near Tucson, Arizona." Of course, Tucson, Arizona wasn't a city at the time, nor was Arizona a state, but readers would understand that the author did not say that it was, he or she is merely using it as a modern reference point. The Qur'an also imposes its own terminology on Old Testament characters. For example, the Qur'an gives the Biblical character Potiphar the Arabic title of al-Aziz, - a term that would have been unknown in ancient Egypt. The Bible uses the distinctly Egyptian term Pharaoh to refer to the King of Egypt. The word Pharaoh, or "Great House" orginally refered to the government, or the royal palace. Since the Pharaoh was the absolute ruler of Egypt, the government and king were one and the same.

Quran says Joseph was sold for a few dirhams. Dirhams were silver coins (from grk "drachma"). There weren't any Coins in the 16th c.BC .the first drachmas appeared 1000 years later. Also... Surahs 12:41 and 20:71 speak to crucifixion being practiced in Egypt at the time of the patriarchs and Moses. Yet the earliest evidence of such comes, likewise, from some 1,000 years later. Also.... Surah 34:11 says that King David made chain-mail armor. This type of armor is unknown archaeologically until the fifth century b.c.e.-some 500 to 600 years after David And the list of anachronisms and errors of the quran is endless. Nothing divine. Written by a man (or some men in medivela arabia) I am sorry.
@mikielgrato5705
4 ай бұрын
Keep in mind that the statement of Joseph could be used to give that stand of the time a frame of reference, for example, there's no use telling them he was sold for 50 dollars if they didn't know what dollars were. The fact about Egypt having kings and not Pharaohs at the time of Joseph was unknown for a thousand years after it's revelation in the quran, back then people like you probably thought the quran was wrong too. The earliest record of chainmail in 4th century BC refers to what is known of it's use in Europe, little is known of other places and there is already extremely little evidence of the dynasty of prophet David (pbuh). When most of the history of the time has been lost, it's a very poor defense to use records of that history as evidence. Good day loser

That's not the point. The point here is the Quraan is accurate about history and the bible is not. As he mentioned that the Pharaoh dynasty came afterwards during the time of Moses so the ruler at the time of Moses is referred to as Pharaoh in the Quran and the ruler at the time of Joseph is simply referred to as "king" because he was not known as Pharaoh. The bible refers to both rulers as Pharaohs. The Quran has the accurate and correct version. A copied thing cannot have the corrected version of the text from where it copied from. If I am copying from a person, I will copy the errors too. It's impossible that i copy and then I correct the wrong things in it.

Because the one who revealed the Gospel and the Torah is the one who revealed the Holy Qur’an, just as I am the Holy Qur’an. It has rhetorical miracles and a rhetorical process that challenged the Arabs in their eloquence in the Arabic language, and despite that, they failed in the challenge and the whole world was challenged by it. The challenge verse (with one surah) like it is the Almighty’s saying: (And if you are in doubt about what We have sent down to Our servant, then produce a surah like it, and call your witnesses besides Allah, if you are Honest The verse of challenge (with ten surahs) is the Almighty’s saying Or do they say, “He fabricated it?” Say, “Then produce ten surahs like it that are fabricated And call upon whomever you can besides Allah, if you are truthful" As for (the verse of challenge) in the entire Qur’an, it is the Almighty’s saying Say, “If mankind and the jinn gathered together to produce the like of this Qur’an, they would not produce the like of it, even if they were to help one another.”There is also a scientific miracle in the Holy Qur’an, and it is for our era, we are the era of scientific discoveries, inventions, and science, and this is for all human beings They have achieved miracles and have no argument before God. There are many scientific miracles in the Qur’an that you can search for. There are also scientific miracles in the timing of the five daily prayers and ablution and the way the Messenger, may God bless him and grant him peace, ate The way he drinks, and the way he sleeps, all of this has scientific miracles that you can research, but the question is: If the Holy Qur’an was copied from the Bible, why is this not found in the Bible?Why was a challenge put in the Holy Qur’an and there is no challenge in the Bible?

Now obviously he wasn't a president back then, but we all know who I am talking about because he is now/time that I'm writing this, the president. Same principal works here. When Moses wrote Genesis, the kings were now called pharoahs so he wrote them as pharoahs because that was his time period

You could also argue that Christianity copied many heathen and pagan ideologies such as the trinity, scapegoating, human sacrifice etc. I tend to find that if you subtract the deen of islam from Christianity ,you're left with some very recognisable beliefs that aren't very Abrahamic of origin. To me it both confirms the purity of the deen of islam ,but also confirms the add mixes of corruption of Christianity.

Can you give us some examples? I think similarity is to be expected because both are abrahamic religions

Pharos are rulers of the kings. Names. Then why did the Quran ask if you have doubt read the ENJEEL and Thora ?

Skeptical scholars account for the many similarities between the Quran and the Jewish and Hebrew Scriptures by saying that Muhammad was teaching what he believed to be a universal history, as he had heard it from the Jews and Christians he had encountered in Arabia and on his travels - as well as his exposure to the Hanif tradition by way of his paternal-grandfather, Abdul Muttalib. These scholars also disagree with the Islamic belief that the whole of the Quran is addressed by God to humankind. They note that there are numerous passages where God is directly addressed, or mentioned in the third person, or where the narrator swears by various entities, including God. The Quranic account, however, differs significantly regarding the crucifixion and death of Jesus.

Aside from the Bible, Quran relies on several apocryphal sources, like the Protoevangelium of James, the Gospel of Pseudo-Matthew, and several infancy gospels. Several narratives rely on Jewish Midrash Tanhuma legends, like the narrative of Cain learning to bury the body of Abel in Surah 5:31.

Pls Muslims make this more challenging cause debunking the same thing for the 10000th time is just boring. So thw word king and pharaoh mean the same thing ruler. When the Portuguese and Spanish went to Japan in the 1500s they translated the word king to emperor. Does that change the meaning of the verse? No because the wors emperor means ruler just like king. Some words have similar meanings therefore they are capable of being used interchangeably with other words woth same meaning. For example the word rescuer and Savior have similar meanings so they can be used interchangeably. Another example is Gian and massive. Sometimes when i have to explain this i feel like im speaking to a toddler.
