Epilepsy is the term for getting chronic seizures. If you had a seizure induced by a head trauma or a bad fall, that is not epilepsy. However, if you randomly get seizures periodically without warning, that is epilepsy. It can be caused by a number of neurological issues, such as a brain tumor, or some issue in the DNA

Since every lawyer will always ask about the charges before setting up a meeting I'm sure she had to get a public defender, who I bet would have to go back to Monarchy law and cite a case of this Noble took a cart used by a legless peasant to quickly reach the Kings court to not be beheaded, and the courtroom would just look stunned thinking, "Is her son related to a king of a country that no longer exists" or claim the girl works for al-Qaida Edit: To clarify, lawyers are required to do their best to represent a client or go to jail, US jails are intense so I'm assuming they will do the bare minimum to not be jailed.

If so, then this entitled woman is probably next going to deny she is violating federal law because she is a mother with a child who wants the wheelchair so he doesn't have to walk. Then again, it sounds like they aren't in the US, so I'm not sure, I'm not familiar with international laws about disabilities or anything of the sort. Either way, if this entitled woman gets thrown in jail, then she might not want to say why she was put in there, other inmates might not like her reasoning. Then again, would she be smart enough to keep her trap shut?

The first story had me FURIOUS! A good friend of mine has eds as well. He's had to deal with the "its fake" bullshit from lots of people including doctors! @@Stingray-hx9xw Even if they know the disease exists, they like to downplay the effects. My pc actually told me that "EDS can't cause that much pain." I felt like telling him, "pick 5 joints, that's how many of mine dislocate on a good day, and after we dislocate them, if you can tell me that they don't hurt, then I will give up trying for quality of life improvement." I've had many major surgeries, starting with my left knee at the age of 15. My spine now dislocates, forcing me into a cervical collar, and walking aids/wheelchair. I've had someone try for my wheelchair twice, and my walker once. I can't even remember how many times I've had to prove my parking placard is mine. I no longer drive myself now, but I've had the placard since I was 15 (I'm 36). Bonus, EDS isn't in the disability blue book, so it's actually really hard for someone with EDS to get benefits. I haven't been able to live alone or work since I was 21, and I'm almost completely bed-bound now, but I'm not disabled according to my state.

For one why would the lil brats want to put something that had been in another person's ear into their own ear? Also they just make everything sound louder so they could damage the lil brat's normal hearing. Idk much about insulin pumps but I think they have a needle and tube that goes in the user's skin. This has to get off my chest, I grew up with: "Do not stare at a disabled person! Do not bother the disabled person!" I only look if I notice they need something from the shelf and (for some reason) give a peaceful little bow. I seriously don't know why I bow... Few weeks ago a very old lady was before me in the line and the cassier asked her wallet, she couldn't find her card and people waited already a long time. She started to sob when the cassier said: "How are we going to solve this?" - I just gave my card, it's a pandemic and it's the least I can do, I'm in disability myself, so I gave her a small bow and wished her a nice day, while she cried saying: "There are still some people..." - The cassier knows me well and rubbed tears away - "Dangit, you are way too kind..." I told her, if this lady on a cart has to walk back to her service flat and back, she'll be much more tired - I don't know her and tbh, just help each other and she wasn't entitled at all. All I know is that I made the entire line cry, the cassier and the old lady...

EDS is an absolutely vile hideous and terrible condition! I am a potter and an art therapist. I have EDS clients and I have seen the pain and terrible injuries these amazing people have to go through in their lives. I had one girl dislocate her wrist by working with clay!!! Nothing I did but she tried too hard to push the clay and her wrist popped out! She had a great time but it was painful for her. She still came back (after a week or so off to let her wrist heal) she is such a beautiful human too 🥰

I have a friend with a similar condition but not as severe, it’s horrific. My friend would have her joints pop out and pinch nerves frequently and her muscles were spasming mimicking a localized seizure before she was diagnosed because they were trying to overcompensate for her joints (I wish I could remember what she has exactly but I can’t, it’s a ridiculous long name), she didn’t get it until her freshman year of college when we met and I’ve sat with her on the hospital as she just full body shakes and sobs in pain. It’s horrible to witness, luckily most of the time she’s fine now that she has an electric wheelchair. She often says when one thing pops out several things pop out of place with it
