Story 4: I hated spinach when I was a kid, both canned and fresh, because we always had it boiled. Like, we had our own vegetable patch and even with freshly picked that day spinach, Mom boiled the everloving hell out of it. Now, I like raw spinach in salad, and when I cook it, I put it in a skillet with a little butter or olive oil, some garlic and herbs, and just the tiniest bit of salt because I ordered a pizza one time with spinach on it and realized it's only terrible when it's boiled.

Not going into specifics, but I have made a name for myself for being the person to go to when the big shots say. "I see a potential problem here, what information can you give me to fix, or prevent it?" . Let me go, don't worry about it looking like I am doing no work for a week or two... let me be.. ok.. I will begrudgingly show you something a week in if really necessary.. but let me do my job and when it's done... it's done! AI definitely has a lot to improve on, but the thing to remember is the way I've heard it before whenever Phillip Defeanco talks about it on his shows: "The way AI is now is the worst it will ever be." Meaning it's only going to improve as time goes. So if you think of what it actually can do now, just imagine what it'll be capable of in a year or 2. Then what can it do in 5 years? 10? 50? It's not impossible to rule out a potential technological singularity where it eventually becomes smart enough to improve itself and outpaces humanity. Presuming we dont wipe ourselves out before then. 😂

I completely agree with the statement the AI still has a long ways to go. But I have used AI to basically ask about something I'm researching and based on what it says gives me a good direction to do more research validate what it says and go from there. AI also does a good job of writing code but you need to be able to understand the code to truly know what's going on, and prevent any bugs that code may introduce. Unless you have a specifically specialized AI which still is going to have room to grow general purpose AI is just not there for anything other than getting you started it's not there to take anyone's job just yet. And when it truly starts taking jobs I think the world's going to be in for a rude awakening.

My mother could NOT cook eggs, either fried or scrambled. Hard boiled was the only way she didn't kill them. When she fried eggs the yolk was always solid and there was this plastic type film of overcooked egg on the bottom that was hard to chew. And her scrambled eggs were so dry that they were hard to choke down, but they were better than her fried eggs. When I was a kid whenever we went out for breakfast I would get the eggs sunny side up, because I loved the soft cooked yolk. And it wasn't until I was at a brunch in a hotel when I was 16 that I discovered that scrambled eggs could be moist and delicious.
@Ron-d2s
3 ай бұрын
Scramble the eggs in a bowl add salt and pepper then a few drops of milk while mixing with a fork. Use a pan without Teflon, put it on LOW heat, when it gets to the point that you would not want to touch it but you still could without burning yourself too bad it's ready, spray some olive oil cooking spray on it (they say do it on a cold pan but it burns worse that way, if it burns the pan is too hot so let it sit for a minute off the burner and turn the burner down) no need to add more spray after wiping out the burned stuff. Use a rubber spatula, the kind to clean out a mixing bowl, the cheaper ones will melt so low temp and don't leave it in the pan or in contact with the pan for a long time. As soon as you pour the egg in start lifting it off the bottom and sides, turn the heat down if it's crackling and let it sit for a few seconds, 15-30... check on the toast and get your plate ready...keep lifting it so it doesn't stick, then form it into the shape of the toast with a final lift and add a few drops of water to the pan for steam then cover, keep dropping the heat if it's going too fast after a few more seconds, 30-ish, flip it, pop some cheese on it to melt and shut the burner off, the heat will finish cooking it though. For a loose scramble don't form it just add water, let it steam then break it up. Sunny side and over easy are about the same, low heat, spray, break it straight in, let it sit then put some water in to just float it and you'll avoid the burned on oil on the bottom, break the yoke as you put it in and you can make a sandwich from it too.🍳😀

Story 3: The slur would be "wop", often against Italian immigrants. I guess I can sort of see how you can make that mistake if you've never seen it spelled out before. Story 4: I hate when people threaten you to do something despite you telling them it will have a bad outcome, then getting mad at you for doing as told when your predicted outcome occurs. Classic blame shifting. Also, I never had a problem with veggies as a kid because everyone who cooked in my life made them well. The first time my mom made brussel sprouts she roasted them with bits of bacon. Hell, I used to love asparagus as a kid. Can't stand the stuff now, though.

Story 5 comments: ChatGPT on the car dealerships were hilarious, because ChatGPT was so *so* easy to jailbreak (jailbreak in this context meaning to get it to stop following the directions it was given by the provider, in this case, the car dealership). It's gotten better, but essentially the problem isn't one of accuracy, but of not being able to delineate between "this is your instructions" and "this is user input" because they're both written in the same language (remember in grade school the pop quiz that had 20 questions and the last one said "ignore everything else and write your name at the top"? That, except that the 20th question was actually added by another student).

Okay maybe somebody can explain this one to me because I don't understand what he means by referring to somebody that is supposed to be his assistant as supervision. One is a helper to take up the slack less meaningful or technical responsibilities and the other is well a supervisor. What am I missing or is this some across the pond or frozen North terminology I'm not aware of? Yeah there's nothing racist about waps and I kind of doubt anybody that knew what it stood for would even find the defensive. However maybe he was thinking about a term that is similar but you would have to change the a to an o . If so then yes that would be racist.
