I will lay odds that that manager was getting kickbacks from that mechanic as this is a VERY common tactic for off-the-books income. The manager insisting that the mower be taken to the mechanic and no in-company maintenance log being kept is a massive red flag.

@RevokFarthis
3 жыл бұрын
Sorry, but no. A Kevin requires consistent, constant idiocy. One dumb move does not make a Kevin. A lifetime of inexplicably surviving daily stupidity that should have killed them many times over, is what makes a Kevin. Likewise Karen is meant to describe someone who is *habitually* a bad person. Using it on everyone who even remotely annoys you even once is a gross misuse of the term.

@@RevokFarthis The point is that you don't know this person or what they are going through. Yes there are stories of actual disgusting people like the woman who thinks anyone who works retail is a peasant far below her who has to do whatever she wants because they will actually very likely get fired if they don't but there are also stories of a woman having a bad day and someone just pushing that final button. They had a woman take a brand new car to them and she was told they had to change out this expensive part so she agreed and a day later they get it back and ask for the part that was taken out and the guy made a show of looking for it but the truth was there was nothing wrong so they did absolutely no work but charged her for a new part and time... Mower story, probably nothing wrong with the mechanics...other than basic greed. They probably knew exactly what was wrong each time...but they get paid more doing things the way they did. And since the manager is a moron, they knew they could get away with it.

@rSlash The chapters are great, but one is missing. The production plant story(2nd one) is missing.

For the mechanic story I wouldn't have even said anything to the boss after the 3rd time the mower broke down and just fixed it myself since I knew what the issue was

In the lawnmower story, the manager is the idiot, the mechanic is just using the managers incompetence to warn more dollars 🙄

The mechanic knew what they were doing, they just took as long as possible since they charge by the hour

@rslash I think the mower one the mechanic was just scamming then so he could make a lot more money and not necessarily incompetent.
