Title story: I'm surprised the micromanager didn't pull a 180, and chewed out OP's sister for NOT making any decisions. Nervous breakdown in the end, was micromanager named Frank Burns? LOL

One of the first things I was taught as an HR student was that the n order to be successful a business MUST make its biggest liability, their personnel, the company’s biggest asset.

Once, when I was having a problem at work, I looked up the online Office of Personnel Management's information for civilian employees (I also looked up the Code of Federal Regulations). That's how I knew what was being done to me was illegal. (I have no idea how I kept from telling one officer that, according to OPM, she was lying to me.)

That last story... You would be suprised about how many security supervisors order stupid crap like that. I worked at a high security prison where we were ordered to have a set schedule for security checks. They prioritized looking good against lawsuits over potentially saving people's lives and preventing rape. I left after finding a dead body (big surprise, huh.) Inmate took full advantage of the security check schedule, count schedule, and the fact people were not forcing them to the cell doors to avoid COVID-19. He even went as far as controlling the corpse as a puppet and having stockpiled bleach for weeks. I can't hear the title "Weekend at Bernie's" without getting sick to my stomach.

@@anders8204 yeah, it took a month for me to be okay. I'm doing pretty well now though. Only needed one mental health day in a year.

I did security forever ago and you would be surprised how many things they make you do and that you're not allowed to do to do that make it impossible to even stay awake if you're on the graveyard shift.

Wooo, this round of MCs was _spicy._ Wouldn't call them nuclear, but they sure were incendiary. Boss's reputation, stupid orders, greedy clients' wallets, everything got scorched by their own hands today.

This presents me with a dilemma, do I listen in the car on the way home or do I wait until I am home to listen? 🤔 Edit: After seconds of deliberation I have decided to listen twice!

I know it's only coincidence, but bad things kept happening to my worst supervisors. Tragically, the micromanaging one had a stroke and was medically retired from the military.
