Ingredients:
Peanuts - 1 & 1/2cup
Red chillies - 15p
Garlic cloves - 6
Salt as per taste
Jagerry powder- 1tbsp
Instructions for Making chitlam/ palli podi :
1.Dry roast all the peanuts/ pallilu separately on a low flame.
2.While roasting, keep stirring intermittently so as not to burn them at the bottom.fry until they turn automatic and golden. Allow it to cool.
3.Add 1/2 tsp oil in the same pan and heat it add dried red chillies on low flame don't over roast chillies and off the flame and add garlic cloves mix well and allow it cool.
4.Let all the ingredients cool down.
Add red chillies,jagerry powder ,garlic cloves, salt into the jar and blend to a coarse powder.Now add peanuts and blend well.avoid over grinding chitlam/palli/peanut powder should be coarsely (as shown in the video).
5.Transfer to an airtight jar and use when needed.
Chitlam podi is ready to serve with hot rice, chapati, paratha, idli, dosa or you serve like chutney if you add water to chitlam/palli powder.
