Great video. And no you’re not awkward you’re extremely friendly. But yes it is very sad that in the uk you have to be so careful with people, when I was at the dragon rally and had my picture taken with rest day rider who is of a similar age to me it was a hug and pic with my arm on her shoulder very relaxed. But when I met you I was very aware of the age difference and hopefully acted appropriately. Then I popped to meet you again for your birthday thinking it was going to be like a bike meet only to discover it was mostly friends and family so I felt awkward but you all made me feel welcome. So thank you for that. Keep safe out there and keep enjoying every minute 🤗🤗😂😂😂🤣🤣

I can totally relate to your comment, I also hate being around groups of people. It's too draining, I feel like all my social energy is zapped away and I don't have much to start with in the first place! I love travelling alone, and spending time debating things with myself. Sad to some but very peaceful to me.

I love people! Small doses though 😅 travelling alone is much nicer for me but I do love a group trip too

@@R1_Liz Then you have more human toleration than me! I force myself into social situations because sometimes you meet some amazingly, unique people, nevertheless, I'm still happier when I'm alone with my bike.

When we finally met at this years Dragon rally I didn't find your interactions awkward at all . I do fully understand your feeling in the UK about the bike crime issues. My take is you have to get out there and live your life the way you want to. There are plenty of nice helpful people everywhere is my experience and I have been around the block a few times to say the least. Love your video and the Icelandic riders you rode with.

Sounds like a great day! Does your bike always sound so angry when starting? Or is she upset that she’s been left in the cold all night? :)
@R1_Liz

She always sounds like this in the morning, there’s a technical reason, but happy to assume it’s because she’s upset

@@R1_Liz a bike with character :) you vids do make me want to go for a test drive on it, although I have never really been into sport bikes.

Awesome content and I understand the way you’re thinking because you hear so much negative back home but the biking community is amazing but in those colder countries it it’s just better as they definitely look out for one another but I do have one question do you book your accommodation in advance or day of travel. But if you had been going in a group would you do the same?
@R1_Liz

I think I’m quite cautious by default, I have to try and quit that when I travel. I usually book the day of travel, preferably after I’ve got half the day done so I can decide how I feel and what kind of place I want to stay. If I was in a group I’d still like to do it this way but depends on the group size and dynamic

Love how you're a self confessed socially awkward person, I find over compensating by being a bit of an over the top eccentric works for me. 😂 Love the trip, on my bucket list for the future.

In a way being known can be helpful with anxiety i guess, because when you meet a viewer, you skip the first few steps and you are straight into "it's safe to fart in front of each other" territory.
@R1_Liz

It can be unnerving at times when you don’t expect it, and still I probably wouldn’t fart in front of a viewer 😬

@@R1_Liz Maybe it's a liberating experience for both, you never know:) Edit - Clarification: Only in this context! Farting at random people who don't know you is indeed awkward and considered impolite.
