You should get a kinetic rope, it will be safer to tug and yank stuff out. Those tow straps will not stand up to that kinda work and kinetic ropes really work wonders for when you need to just yank something thats really stuck. Check out mattsoffroadrecovery for some good stuff.

You need to get a snatch strap/kinetic strap for situations when the tractor is stuck like that instead of a normal tow strap or ratchet strap. Snatch straps/kinetic straps have some elasticity and store energy for pulling out stuck vehicles like you were! Also make sure you have something in the middle of the strap weighing it down. so if it breaks like that again the energy is put down into the ground instead of towards someone's windshield or head! Love seeing the compound content and cant wait to see what you make it!

@adamlz, tractor salesman here. Your left heel will have a lever to lock the rear diff. Stomp on that to help get unstuck. Also, push down those levers on your two lower rear three point arms and then pull out the ball end, it will extend the three point by several inches of play to make hooking up equipment way easier on the back. You can also look up a "quick hitch", it makes your bush hog and box blade quick attach and way easier to attach. Also, if you're back blading with the bucket on the front, keep an eye on your loader bolt tourque where the loader arms connect to the engine block, they can loosen up on you over time when you're back blading like that, then they snap, and it's no fun. Happy tractoring!

Adam -- the brushhog / bushhog mowers have a shear pin in them that is by design meant to break when you try to mow something too big for the blades. It snaps the shear pin instead of further damaging your blades. If you intend to keep cutting brush, buy a whole bunch of shear pins so as your mowing and they break, you just remove the broken pin and swap it for a new pin and then keep mowing. Also, like everyone else said, buy a kinetic tow strap asap. You might have been able to get the tractor out by itself just using the diff lock and the bucket. You tip the bucket all the way down so it's facing the ground, then push the bucket in to the ground to post and lift the front end of the tractor. Start driving in revers and slowly tip the bucket up (DONT RAISE THE BUCKET). The rolling motion of the bucket as it's tipping back will push the tractor backwards, as if someone was towing you out. You'll have to do that a few times and it's a game of inches but if you rinse/repeat on the above steps you can get your tractor out of a lot of messy situations. Speaking from experience lol.

The bush hogs are great for cutting large areas of field to make trails. They sell a quick connect that is only like $300 that makes it easier to hook up the bush hog, as aligning the PTO and arms by itself is a pain, especially if it’s just you. Learn to use the 4WD and the diff lock on the tractor.... Diff lock should be a small lever by your heel of your foot that you can stand on to lock the rear diff. You can also use left and right brakes independently, to lock the spinning wheel when stuck... You can also use the brakes independently for when you need to make real tight turns... It doesn't work as good on hydrostatic trannies, or 4WD tractors, but it still works never-the-less... And there usually is a shear pin on the bushhog... it's a sacrificial pin to save the gearbox, for when you hit something big.

As long as you have a loader on that tractor you should be able to push yourself out. Pretty much out of anything. Not sure if you know it but there should be a lever by your left foot that will lock in the rear end.

You also need to learn how to use the tractor properly it has a diff lock for the rear and cut brakes so you can get yourself out of situations like that and all you do is put a bucket down on its edge and push yourself back or lift the front of the tractor up out of the mud of it

You should have constant tension on the cvt belt on your secondary (the bigger one) clutch. The primary spins up and grabs the belt. I would guess you have an issue with your secondary clutch being stuck open
