Thuja Capital CEO Mthunzi Mdwaba has accused Acting Judge Japie Maritz, overseeing the R5 billion Thuja jobs scheme matter, of bias.
Mdwaba has today withdrawn the services of his lawyer, telling the court that following a pattern of observations, the lawyer wouldn't have stood a chance, accusing the judge of mistreating his lawyer. The high court sitting in Pretoria is hearing an urgent application by Employment and Labour Minister Thulas Nxesi for the courts to set aside the R5 billion Thuja Capital-UIF job creation contract and to block Mdwaba from making corruption claims against him.
Mdwaba has abandoned today's court process.
SABC News Economics Reporter, Katlego Legodi is in court and filed this update.
