Andy’s like the quiet guy at your job who’s always friendly, but instead of going nightclubbing, he walks around downtown until four in the morning.

This is gonna sound a bit odd, but there's this game I used to play on PSP called Archer Maclean's Mercury. I'd recommend most fans of Andy Stott to check the soundtrack btw, but there's one track from the OST in particular that is uncannily like New Romantic, and that's the track titled "Earth". When I first heard this I thought Andy Stott made this track back in like '02 and the Archer Maclean's Mercury OST producer (John Hancock) was inspired by it (since he was inspired by some big 90s electronic artists like Aphex Twin, BoC, David Holmes etc.). Turns out it's just a massive coincidence TL;DR - This song has a lot of similarities to "Earth" from the Archer Maclean's Mercury soundtrack

It's Alice Skidmore, his old piano teacher. They've been working together since Luxury Problems (2012). I particularly love the way manipulates her vocals through sampling, specially when he changes the pitch, turning her beautiful, ethereal and female vocals into some kind of androgynous vocals.
