Subscribe to the channel to learn how to modify your focus ST/ RS/ fiesta ST, and more fun videos and vlogs that I make. Thanks as always and hope you enjoy it!
That install was difficult to watch. Here are the installation instructions: www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=www.raceseng.com/media/pdf/threaded-adapter-shift-knob-install-mustang-focus-fiesta.pdf&ved=2ahUKEwixjazIquPsAhVOd6wKHQ8zDhgQFjAAegQIARAB&usg=AOvVaw0w3VEWyIEO5SDZI1StbkAR You shouldn't need to shave your lockout. You should use some blue thread locker on the shift arm, for the adapter. You can keep the white rubber insulator (and shave that) if you have issues with vibration noise. In my experience there is more than enough spring pressure to avoid any vibration noise, but the rubber can dampen the sound of releasing the lockout quickly. I like the sound, so I don't use the insulator. The screw they provided, which goes on top of the adapter, is used to help align your shift gate pattern, per instructions. With the thread locker you don't need to crank down so much on the adapter. That will give you more clearance for your reverse lockout. The screw can also be set a bit taller for added clearance. Between the two you should have more than enough clearance to avoid shaving your lockout. Knob looks great, and appreciate you're sharing. Hopefully what I said is understood, and helps you avoid unnecessary modification of your reverse lockout.

Yeah, agreed! The instructions and other better install videos are pretty clear on the things you pointed out. I cringed when I saw how hard he was tightening that adapter. Not horrible for just kinda winging it. But Raceseng is expensive. Clanging that stuff together, shaving or modifying, and winging it, I don't recommend.

You need to back off that locking screw on the top of the adapter so your knob sits a little higher. Your lockout doesnt go high enough with the knob so low.

Yeah it was pretty legit, swapped it out for a white COBB shift knob, the raceseng one got pretty hot during the summer. I had the black slammer knob. Yeah, it got me pretty good. Lol some top notch laser carving on that sob. Lol
