This is a really good kit, I have a friend who got one off amazon for $60 but it didnt come with a VW/AUDI adapter, This one does come with one and for half the price!

Why did you put the extra back in the jug? I usually usually add it to the overflow reservoir. You are giving yourself an rxtra step. Also, keep it 1/3 full at all times. Lastly, you don't have to preburb it with the motor off, just keep adding fluid, start the engine and keep adding more, then let it start the burping while running

Thank you so much for the video. I have a Toyota mr2 spyder and due to the rear engine design the cooling system is very complicated and a pain to burp. I tried one of the vacuum tools but couldn’t get a good vacuum because of the fill tank. After watching your video went to harbor freight and grabbed one. Right off I noticed none of the fittings fit my fill tank but I just took the long adapter and pushed it down snug into the tank and put on the funnel which gave a tight seal. Long story short this tool worked amazing on this system, I think there is still some air but this tool worked so well. Thanks again, subscribed

Keep the level around 1/3 full, if you let it get low or empty it defeats the purpose of this funnel. You don’t want any air to go back in the radiator so make sure to keep the level around 1/3-1/2 full. Cheers 🤙🏼🍻

@@MajorWeakness the Miata I recently purchased has been overheating and boiling coolant, it will spill out of the overflow tank after a long drive (almost everyday, about 60 mile commute). I replaced the radiator, water pump, thermostat and it was still not right. I think the problem was trapped air. Finally did a proper purge with this kit, praying that it was the problem. If anyone is struggling with similar problems, start with filling/purging system to make sure it wasn’t something simple before replacing every part in your car. It will save you a lot of money and a huge headache! Thanks for the video have a great day! 🫡

Thanks for your time. I was gonna say this thing is completely useless but I tried it again after watching your video to see if I was doing something wrong. Yes and no...in my case (03 Subaru) I had to mash-down really hard on the cap adapter to get it to engage with the tabs on the radiator. I'll try the rest tomorrow.

I have an update on this in-case it can help others. When I filled the funnel it leaked real bad from the filler neck so even mashing-down the cap adapter didn't work. I was about to give the funnel a swift kick when I realized there is a "thing" inside the filler cap of my 03 Subaru that kept the funnel adapter from sealing, so I ground a half-moon cutout into the bottom of the plastic adapter to fit over the thing. After doing this it seals pretty nicely and seems to be working good. Thanks again.

I think you'd be better off pouring coolant directly into the radiator and then using the funnel once it won't accept anymore in order to burp it the rest of the way with the car running. It sounds like it took quite a while to fill the radiator through the funnel!

I never buy 50/50. I buy concentrated full strength and I save a windshield washer jug. Wash it out and pour half of the gallon of full strength antifreeze into it. Now I add distilled water to fill the half full windshield washer jug of antifreeze until it is full now, I add the other half gallon of distilled water to the half full concentrated antifreeze in the original jug of antifreeze that I bought. So now I have two gallons of 50/50 mix for maybe two dollars more then one gallon of 50/50 cost.
