You can see how weird Thom acts singing Creep in '93 on their first appearance, I heard it's because he just hates singing that song so he made himself look weird. He seems to enjoy performing this song a lot more.

That was a brilliant performance! I actually searched for it as Thom mentioned it in an interview (Vox Feb 96), 'What was the proudest moment of your life? "[Groans] I can't even think... But there was a time when we did the Conan O'Brien talk show for the second time. We played 'Fake Plastic Trees', then we went for a meal, got hammered and went back to the hotel. I was in bed, turned on the TV and there we were. It was just really, really good; all the quiet bits were really quiet and all the loud bits were really loud. That's our first three and a half minutes of TV that I was really proud of."'

Crazy note: I learned that's thanks to Jeff Buckley, after Thom Yorke saw him at a concert in London, made Thom realise he could sing in falsetto with confidence too... Just after, he came back to the studio and recorded Fake Plastic Trees on an acoustic guitar in 2 takes... (there were a first recording, but not completed, they were a bit stuck)
