This bike review has been a long time coming. Radon sent me the Slide Trail 10 at the end of last year. Due to unfortunate circumstances the test has taken a long time to come together. But it's here!
If you've never heard of Radon, they're a direct-sales bike brand based in Germany. With everything from road bikes to heavy hitting enduro bikes, they have most categories covered.
The Slide Trail 10 is Radon's top of the line trail bike. It has a carbon frame with an aluminium rear triangle. It boasts a Fox 36 Float Factory fork and Float DPX2 Factory shock, both fully "Kashima'd. It comes with a 150mm Fox Transfer Factory dropper, just for that added bling factor. The gearing is handled by SRAM, with the help of an XO1 Eagle rear derailleur which is hooked up to a 10- to 50-tooth Eagle cassette. The rubber of choice is Maxxis DHF / DHR in the Maxx Terra blend, and EXO+ casing on lightweight Newmen Evolution SL A.30 wheels.
This is a proper trail bike... but how does it handle?
