Cheers Antony. I was hoping local people like myself would find the video & History of interest. Part 2 will consist of looking around the bunker and equipment. Thank you for the comment and I must just once again point out that John Highton created this fantastic animation.

Absolutely amazing thank-you for creating this. I remember visiting as a child and I was fascinated by this site but had no idea how it would have looked above or below ground! ...also I love how the RAF were in hotels ! Some things don't change.

Awesome, didn't want it to end. For me this puts an end to any question that there are further tunnels down there.

I once watched a documentary about British plans in the event of nuclear war and it featured a place like this. Maybe even the same place ? Fascinating video BTW.

Thank you 😀 don't forget to subscribe. I think the bunker your talking about in the documentary might have been Kelvedon hatch down south. I think that was the bunker used 😀

@@NicksExploration It seems bizarre that (even if it was outdated) all this technology and the bunker was just thrown away like that. I am building a simulation of RAF Driffield but it will never look as good as this.

Very well done, just finished episode 3, I’ve been to Bempton cliffs on several occasions and didn’t know what the site was used for so investigation brought to these videos, I would like to know what the vertical concrete posts arranged in a Y shape were all about if anyone knows the answer

I’m also trying to find out the same thing and hoped the video series mentioned but seemingly not. Have you ever found out through other sources?

Sorry the concrete posts are from an experimental high speed passive radar system. Code name " Winkle "
