Majka's father died earlier this year, so he wanted to win something for him. That's why he was so emotional / pointing up etc.

Happy for Majka after watching him sacrifice in Tour so much for Pogacar. He was the best last man (similar to Castroviejo for ineos in Giro), and now he got the recognition he deserves with a big stage. Well done polish man.

BV is the one team that truly surpasseth my understanding. Loaded with talent, but freaky and streaky. I'm still mystified at Padun's back-to-back wins in the final two mountain stages of the Dauphine. I try to employ Occam's razor to these situations and be generous and not cynical, but those two wins are looking sketchy af right now.

Playing devil's advocate; Padun was on fire a couple weeks before the tour, and they decided not to take him. It's 2+ plus months since his wins, that's quite a while to hold form. I think he's probably just overcooked.

@@realyield I've ridden both types of brakes. Personally I didn't notice any stopping advantage with the disc. A disc wheel may take longer to change and the disc itself may bend, it probably is more efficient in wet conditions, most of us avoid riding in the rain. I can't see spending the money to change things simply to have the latest equipment. Pros for the most ride what's team issue, the public sees these latest innovations and some must have it. The bicycle industry depends on this type of consumer.
