This is a common misunderstanding: Nadal exhales when he swings, like all tennis players do. You can exhale silently like Roger if you're a classy guy, or just let it go as a grunt if you dont Care. In no way it means more effort is putted in the swing. Secondly, attacking tennis like Roger did is extremely physical and demanding. Proof is that he had multiple knee problems because he (Roger) accelerated and decelerated faster than anyone on the tour. On the other hand, defensive/grinding tennis like Djokovic and Nadal may look like its a disaster for their body, but running like a marathonian and swinging relaxed lasso FH behind the baseline is relatively easy on the body. Claycourters tend to have longer careers. Lastly, Nadal both benefited and suffered from his genetics. He has genius coordination and physical strength, but has a bone disease in his foot which should have stopped him at 22 years old. Not only his play style is in no ways the cause of injuries, but it could actually be the reason why he is still competitive at his age ; which is extremely rare for a precocious player like he was. Vamos ❤

That serve needs to improve a lot, there is no actual power in his returns or forehand. Only the backhand looks better now. He needs to improve a lot to make significant strides at french open.
@vedesty6580

I've noticed that, because his forehand makes the ball with a curve but I feel that it is less effective than before and it gives more time for the opponent unlike his backhand which has no curve and gives less time to the opponent.

He swings through the shot but flicks it up with his wrist. The follow through is at a pretty steep angle so it whips back over his head. Most players do this when they have to hit a high ball, but Nadal does it way more, especially during clay season.
