TRE, Amtrak, Union Pacific, BNSF, and FWWR Trains around Fort Worth and other parts of Tarrant County. On January 5th, 2019, a friend and I went out to railfan around Fort Worth. Despite TEXRail not starting service as planned, we were not disappointed with the amount of trains we saw. We started at Richland Hills getting two TREs about 30-40 minutes after Sunrise. The next spot we visited was Judkins Street which is about 4 railroad miles west of Richland Hills. After 2 more TREs passed, we headed over to Tower 55. We caught a few trains at Tower 55 which were all UPs before heading over to a crossing about a half mile south of Tower 60. Action was pretty steady with about 4 trains in an hour. After getting lunch, we headed to Centreport to hop on TRE, we caught Amtrak blowing through Centreport before hopping TRE to Irving and back. After a short, but fun TRE trip, we headed to a crossing in Haltom City to see one final TRE before heading back to 23rd street to see Amtrak and other evening freight trains. We stayed until about 7:30pm before heading back home. I was very satisfied with the amount of trains we saw that day, especially at night. Thanks for Watching!
