Love trains! And, Deshler holds a very special place in my heart...train rides many years ago behind B & O steam. Thanks and God bless you!

I don’t always subscribe to every railfan channel. But when I do, it’s because they are built different. The professionalism is a rare quality to find on the work of many train enthusiasts. Thank you for your hard work, and have a God-blessed day.

Nice video! As another commenter notes, it's professional, and easy to watch. I lived in Ohio 50.years ago, and traveled through northwestern Ohio to go to college. But I wasn't aware of Deshler at the time. I'd like to see it someday.

Lots of variety and great commentary! My favorite was watching the Q509 weaving into into the wye. I also appreciate the written notes and timestamps. Since I am almost a quarter-century old, I can also appreciate those nearly century-old CPL signals still functioning after all these years!

Nice video. I was just in deshler the other day filming. One thing to note is that the town held a vote at request of CSX if the town wanted to tear down the depot and tower. The town voted an overwhelming no to the tearing it down and that vote was 3-4 years ago. I visit deshler often as I used to live there. It’s a railfans paradise

Great coverage! 7:37 is a Restricting, that signal can’t show a medium approach. As shown, when the light power got to the signal it advanced to a regular approach as the train ahead cleared up the block.

Great video with very informative comments. I was sad to see the old B&O CPLs on the old Philadelphia Sub in downtown Philadelphia replaced fairly recently (now CSX). Hope Deshler will remain a holdout. Thanks for a well done and visualized video; it captured the site very well with the map and landmarks and historic photos.

I also like how many crossings still have mechanical bells here.

Back in Chessie days, typical power was 2---GP40s. Sometimes a GP35 or 38 would fill in. Once I saw a GP9 fill in for the second loco. This was true of the Toledo sub too.

1981-82 the chessie embargoed the Toledo sub north of the diamond. How far north I do not know. The ides was to see if they could run east on Willard to Fostoria, north to Toledo. The rails at that time were rusted completely. They wanted a way to remove the diamond. Me and my friends spent a lot of time up here during Chessie days. 40 years ago. Someone is getting old.

Interesting how some of these symbols no longer exist or have been changed. I've personally never seen Q509 or Q203.

Yeah, that's how I felt when all the Q's got switched to I's and M's. It was a little confusing

@@YellowNoseProductions I didn't start learning about them until mid 2023.. Lol. I only know M209, I141/42, I171, and I192 by heart. We usually come to Deshler for Christmas and I always loved going out to the park to watch a few trains and also come just for the trains. Now my favorite spots to go is Fostoria and Bryan. Ever since they put up that shack in front of the diamond and the gravel pile to the far right, I just cannot get anymore good angles, have not been going as much since.. My guess for the symbol change is for more organization and efficiency, it'd take less time figuring out what kind of train it is. I'm no expert anyways.

How do you get information on where train is coming and going?

There's a wikipedia article with all the train symbols, and there's a train log in the description of the VRF live stream.

Last time I was there the outhouses were gone, so maybe they're doing something about it
