Today, Casey (SantaFe669) and I rode Metra to West Chicago to railfan the CN/UP diamond. It was both our first times railfanning at West Chicago, and today was certainly a successful first day. In fact, our expectations of this location were blown out of the water. West Chicago is no joke. With the UP Geneva Sub and CN ex-EJ&E Leithon Sub intersecting, there is no shortage of action here. The quality and quantity of trains was incredible. We had an awesome time railfanning here, and we will certainly be returning very soon. Here are the individual train descriptions:
